We were so grateful to welcome Michelle Hill, Founder and CEO of Empower Me Center as our guest speaker for today’s CASA Lunch & Learn! 💙

Michelle shared the mission of Empower Me Center and exciting plans for their continued growth. The work they do to transform the lives of individuals with special needs through meaningful activities, recreation, and community connection is incredibly valuable to our community.

Our CASA volunteers walked away with a supportive resource to share with our CASA families. We’re grateful for Michelle’s time, insight, and the incredible work of Empower Me Center!

Some people leave footprints wherever they go. Others leave a legacy.

Last week, CASA was honored to help celebrate Deputy Clerk Susan Gregory as she stepped out of the courtroom and into retirement. Susan is an extraordinary woman whose kindness, dedication, and servant's heart have left a lasting mark on everyone she has worked with. For 46 years she was the glue that held it all together, a trusted friend to CASA, and a beloved member of the Wilson County Court staff. Her guidance, patience, and compassion have touched countless lives.

While saying goodbye is never easy, we are grateful for the years we shared and excited for her as she begins this well-earned new chapter. Thank you, Susan, for all you've given, for every life you've touched, and for the kindness you shared so freely.

Wishing you happiness, adventure, and all the joy retirement has to offer. ❤️

Stories have the power to inspire, teach, and transform. Today is the perfect reminder that your time and voice can help shape a child’s next chapter. Becoming a CASA volunteer means standing beside a child to offer hope and stability as they navigate their own story.

If you're a book lover like us, you already understand how meaningful a guiding voice can be. You can help a child turn the page toward possibility!

Did you know? ➡️ in Wilson County, there are approximately 1,200 grandparents raising grandchildren. It is vital for communities to step in with support, resources, and encouragement for grandparents and family members who play such a huge role in raising children.

The July 31st Grandfamilies Back to School at the Floyd event did exactly that; providing games, meals, backpacks, school supplies, free haircuts, resources, and so much more!

JustServe and Foster 180 did an amazing job organizing this incredible event hosted by Jimmy Floyd Family Center- and numerous vendors from our community showed up to show some some love. 💙

A special Thank You to Steves & Sons for providing us with backpacks filled with much-needed school supplies. We were able to distribute over 100 backpacks to kids to help start off their school year!

Wilson County CASA was honored to donate alongside Wilson Bank & Trust to help provide free meals for families- beautifully prepared by Wildberry Cafe and Catering!

THIS is what community looks like. We are incredibly grateful to be a part of it all!
