Every Angel Tree gift begins with someone choosing to make Christmas brighter for a child. When you purchase a gift through our online Angel Tree registry, it’s delivered directly to us, sorted with care by volunteers, and placed into the hands of a child who needs hope this season.

Your generosity starts the journey — joy is where it ends.

As we approach the holidays, your support is already at work — bringing food, shelter, and comfort to neighbors in need across Kentucky and Tennessee.

Today we’re highlighting Leanne, who has spent more than 30 years delivering food boxes, checking in on community members, and offering care that goes far beyond a simple visit.

“I don’t just deliver food as a job. I got to know these people… One woman needed someone to come weekly to help her prep her medicines or get her food together. I would go there once a week — sometimes just to listen. They become family, too.

It feels good to help. I do it for the Lord to serve others, and if I have an extra hour in a day, I can take it to help people.”

Volunteers like Leanne show what compassion looks like in action — and your support makes that compassion possible.

October 10 is World Homeless Day.

Today we pause to recognize our neighbors who are facing the fear and uncertainty of homelessness. Through The Salvation Army, we remain committed to offering safe shelter, warm meals, and the hope of a new beginning for every person who comes to our door.

Today we celebrate Donor Advised Fund Day.

A grant from your Donor Advised Fund can make a real impact in your community through The Salvation Army — providing food, shelter, and life‑changing support. If you have a DAF, please consider recommending a grant to help us continue serving neighbors in need.

Your commitment creates consistency. Your generosity creates change.

True joy, peace, and strength come from God’s presence at work within us. When we lean into what He gives — not what the world offers — our hearts find what they’ve been needing all along.
