If a child is being hurt, why don’t they say something? It’s not always that simple.

Children stay silent for many reasons:
-They feel ashamed or blame themselves
-They may not understand what’s happening
-They’re scared of what might happen
-They worry no one will believe them

Screen time is a part of childhood now, and that's okay.

But keeping your child safe online takes more than parental controls. It takes conversation. A conversation about:
People aren’t always who they say they are
Private information should stay private
If a situation feels uncomfortable, don’t hesitate to tell someone

Playgrounds have come a long way, but a few safety checks will ensure the fun never stops!

☀️Check equipment for sharp edges or loose parts
☀️Hot metal + Summer sun = proceed with caution
☀️Make sure surfaces are soft enough to cushion a fall
☀️Make sure your kid is on age-appropriate equipment

What’s in your summer bag?

We're packing the essentials:
🪲 Bug spray; a non-negotiable
🧦 An extra pair of socks and shoes; because wet feet ruin everything
👒 A hat; sun protection AND a fashion statement
🍦 Ice cream money; obviously, the most important item

One more thing always worth having? A fully charged phone and a plan so your kids know exactly who to call if they need help. 💙

Self-advocacy is a safety skill.

Teaching your child to recognize discomfort, ask for support, and protect their boundaries helps to keep them safe in everyday situations.
