Think a bare crib looks "cold"? It’s actually the safest spot for your little one.

While bumpers might look cozy to adults, they create unnecessary risks for infants. At Beds for Babies Inc., we’re dedicated to providing babies a peaceful place to lay by offering free cribs and safe sleep education to families in financial hardship.

A bare crib is a safe crib. Safety is the ultimate comfort.

The 2-4 month "Critical Window" is a major milestone, but it’s also when safety needs change. Once your baby shows signs of rolling, it’s time to stop swaddling. Switching to a sleep sack keeps their arms free to move safely.

Financial barriers should never compromise a baby's safety. We provide free cribs and education to families in need to ensure every child has a secure start.

Did you know that even a small "slope" can be a big danger for a sleeping baby?

We often see products marketed as "sleepers" that are inclined, but the safest place for a baby is always a firm, flat, and level surface. When a baby sleeps at an angle, their heavy head can fall forward, potentially chin-to-chest, which can block their tiny airways. This is known as positional asphyxia, and it can happen silently and quickly.

At Beds for Babies Inc., we know that every parent wants the best for their child, but sometimes financial barriers make it hard to access a safe, flat crib. That’s where our community comes in. We believe that safety shouldn't be a luxury. By providing free, safety-approved cribs and safe sleep education, we are providing babies a peaceful place to lay while giving parents the emotional relief they deserve.

Choosing a flat surface is one of the most important steps you can take for your baby’s safety. Let’s work together to ensure every little one in our community has a safe start.

Free can be a lifesaver when you're preparing for a new baby, but some hand-me-downs carry a hidden cost. We often see families gifted secondhand inclined sleepers, like the Rock 'n Play. While they were once popular, they’ve been recalled because they just aren't safe for sleep.

Even if it’s a gift from a trusted friend, an inclined sleeper can cause a baby's head to tilt forward. This "chin-to-chest" position can block their tiny airway in an instant. At Beds for Babies Inc., we understand that financial hurdles shouldn't stand in the way of safety. We believe protection and care start from day one.

That’s why we’re expanding nationwide! We provide free cribs and safe-sleep education to families facing financial hardship, ensuring every caregiver has the tools they need. Our mission is centered on providing babies a peaceful place to lay, one family and one peaceful night at a time. 🧡

If you or someone you know is struggling to afford a safe sleep space, please reach out. We’re here to help.

Ever wonder why safety experts are so obsessed with a flat surface for babies? It’s not just about comfort, it’s actually biological.

Think of your baby’s tiny airway like a garden hose. When a baby’s head tilts forward in an inclined sleeper or car seat (the chin-to-chest position), that "hose" can kink, making it hard for them to breathe. Because babies have heavy heads and weak neck muscles, they can’t always lift their heads back up to open that airway themselves. A flat, firm surface is a biological necessity to keep those airways open.

At Beds for Babies Inc., we believe every child deserves a safe start. We know that for many families, the cost of a new, safety-rated crib is a significant financial hurdle. That’s why we’ve expanded our mission nationwide, to ensure that no matter your financial situation, your little one has a safe, flat place to sleep.

We are dedicated to providing babies a peaceful place to lay. If you or someone you know is struggling to afford a safe sleep space, please reach out to us at bedsforbabiesinc.org. We’re here to help our community, one crib at a time. ❤️

Feeding time vs. nap time. 🍼💤

Nursing pillows are great for support while feeding, but they aren’t safe for sleep. Babies always need a firm, flat surface for napping to stay safe.

We provide free cribs to families in need to ensure every baby has a peaceful place to lay.

Ever wonder why we're so big on flat cribs? It’s all about preventing something called positional asphyxiation. When a baby’s head tilts forward: chin to chest: it can actually block their tiny airway.

While swings and car seats are great for supervised travel or play, they aren’t meant for unsupervised sleep. A firm, flat surface is the only way to keep that airway open and clear.

We know that for many families, the cost of a new crib can be a huge hurdle. No parent should have to lose sleep worrying about the safety of where their baby is sleeping. That’s why we’re on a mission to reach families nationwide, offering free cribs and safety education to those who need it most.

We’re here to help take that weight off your shoulders by providing babies a peaceful place to lay. Every family deserves that peace of mind. 💙

That first roll is such a huge milestone! But we know it also comes with a little "milestone panic" for parents.

When your little one starts to wiggle and roll, it’s time to make a few quick changes to keep them safe while they dream.

First up: It’s time to stop swaddling. As soon as they show signs of rolling, baby needs their arms free to help them push up or move if they need to. Transitioning to a sleep sack with arms out is the best move here.

Second: Keep that sleep space clear. No bumpers, no pillows, and no extra blankets, just a firm, flat mattress and a fitted sheet.

We know that keeping up with every new stage can feel overwhelming, especially when money is tight. At Beds for Babies Inc., we believe every family deserves the peace of mind that comes with a safe sleep environment. If you’re struggling to afford a safe crib or the right sleep gear, please reach out. We’re here to help with free cribs and safe-sleep education, one peaceful night at a time.

You’ve got this, parents! We're here for you and your little ones.

It all started with a single phone call and a heart that couldn't say no.

Before Beds for Babies Inc. was what it is today, it was just our founder, Sondra, hearing about a mother who didn't have a safe place for her baby to sleep. There were no boards, no warehouses, and no big budgets: just a woman who decided that one baby’s safety was worth her own paycheck.

She’d hear about a family in need, drive to the store, buy a crib, and deliver it herself. That "one crib at a time" philosophy is still the heartbeat of everything we do. We know the weight of the worry when you can't afford the essentials, and we've seen the tears of relief when that burden is lifted.

Every baby deserves a safe start, and every parent deserves a peaceful night. We’re still here, one family at a time, making sure no baby sleeps in danger because of a price tag.
