Yesterday, over 30 individuals representing 18 organizations gathered for the June meeting of the Leavenworth County Human Service Council!

We’re proud to be part of a network that collaborates, educates, and advocates for those in need across our community. This month, we heard from Parents As Teachers and Infant Toddler Services who shared how they support families during the earliest stages of life. We also spotlighted Landon’s Legacy an organization honoring lives gone too soon by offering support to students at Leavenworth High School. It’s powerful to see so many agencies come together with one mission — to serve.

📸 Check out photos from the meeting and flyers from our featured organizations below.

Today’s meeting featured an inspiring presentation from NEK-CAP, highlighting their new opportunity through the Bezos Foundation’s Day One Families Fund. This five-year grant allows them to build services from the ground up, develop impactful processes, and partner with key stakeholders to decrease homelessness among families and children in our community. Huge congratulations to NEK-CAP on this transformational funding!

We also held voting for the Spirit of Humanitarianism Award — a special honor recognizing individuals who go above and beyond in serving our community. 🏆 Winners will be announced soon, with a celebration luncheon at our May meeting. Stay tuned!
