The zoo, which is run by volunteers, provides a permanent, loving home for displaced exotic, native species, and domestic animals where they enjoy a diverse diet, an educational habitat, and enrichment activiti

es. The zoo's primary goal is to inspire and educate the public about the conservation issues species face worldwide. It is one of the only zoos in Georgia that cares for macaque species (Genus: Macaca), as well as other primates. It is an educational resource for children of all ages. Choestoea, our elusive and shy bobcat, has been making more public appearances lately. Come visit us Friday and Saturday 10am-2pm to see this native species cat. She was rescued and brought to us by a local farmer who expected to find a raccoon in his trap that had been getting his chickens. She is thriving and enjoying her fresh chicken dinners.😺

"We had a great time at the Haven zoo. We learned a lot and had fun meeting all of the animals! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable."

"This facility is a true gem. Although small, the impact they have made in the lives of these rescued animals is mighty. The staff were absolutely lovely. All of the animals had nice, clean enclosures with lots of enrichment. All of the animals appear very healthy and happy, they do not breed to exploit their animals which is refreshing. I’m so glad to have found a facility like this so close to me!! Will for sure be returning!"

"Had the coolest time visiting here! Got to see monkeys, lemurs, foxes, a coyote, a serval, bobcat, lemurs, kangaroo and all the farm animals! My favorite was seeing the monkeys. The owner JohnieSue gave us tons of information and education about all the animals while we went through our tour. This is a wonderful non-profit and perfect experience for families of all ages."
