🐾 So many happy endings to celebrate!

Over the past few weeks, several Hart County Humane Society cats and kittens have found their forever families—including Benny, Tangerine, Patches, Phinny, Parker, Thumper, Poppy, and Yardstick! ❤️

Patches was supposed to be our Pet of the Week this week, but she had other plans! Yesterday, she was adopted by the most amazing family, and we couldn’t be happier for our sweet girl! 🥹🏡

Yardstick’s happy ending is especially meaningful for us. She came to us as a critical medical case after an unknown accident left her with a devastating leg injury and dying of sepsis. Saving her life meant amputating her injured leg. Today, she’s hopping— actually, more like running— along on three legs like a champ! Seeing her healthy, happy, and heading into a forever home means more than words can say. 💕

Every adoption means a new beginning: a cozy place to sleep, people to love, and a home where these sweet babies belong. Watching them head home is what keeps us going!!

To our adopters, thank you for choosing rescue and opening your hearts to these deserving kitties. To our fosters, volunteers, donors, and everyone who shares our posts—thank you for helping make these moments possible. Your support gives cats like Yardstick a chance to survive, heal, and find a family.

Congratulations to our adopted babies and their families! We’d love to see how they’re settling in— share your updates and photos in the comments if you've ever adopted from us!! 🏡🐱

Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter takes in stray and unwanted dogs and cats from Hart and Franklin Counties. While the animals are there, they are vaccinated, treated for parasites, cared for and spayed or neutered while efforts are made to find adopters or rescues. Some feel more funding for this care wouldn't be necessary if the animals aren't kept alive as long. We hope our community wants the animals to have a chance to be adopted or rescued. If you can please support the dogs and cats at Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter. Please share the post asking for food donations from the Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter page with a prayer.

🚨 Our shelves are completely bare! 🚨

We are desperate for dog food, cat food, puppy food, and kitten food. If you can help feed the animals, now is the time—we urgently need your support! Every donation can help save a life. ❤️🐶🐱

📍 Drop-off or ship: 870 Bear Creek Rd, Lavonia, GA
🗓️ Tuesday–Saturday | 11 AM–4 PM

Please help us keep the animals fed. Thank you for caring!

Edit: Any brand is appreciated! We often feed Purina brands as those are what is usually donated.

📺🐾 MAX IS GOING ON THE SHOW TONIGHT! 🐾📺

Meet Max, an absolutely adorable 4-month-old boy who is ready to charm his way into someone’s heart! ❤️

Max came to our sanctuary with his mama and two siblings when the babies were still nursing. We’ve had the privilege of watching him grow from a tiny kitten who still needed his mom into the sweet, handsome little guy he is today!

Max is incredibly cute, loving, and ready for the next chapter of his story—a forever family of his very own. 🏡🐱

Tune in tonight to This Week, Hart County & Beyond LIVE with Doc Ayers on HTC TV 3 from 6–7 PM to meet Max and learn more about this precious boy!

Could Max be your new best friend? Visit harthumane.org to learn more or submit an adoption application. ❤️

Please share and help Max find his forever home!
