The John Benson Chapter of the NSDAR celebrated the community contributions of one of its dedicated members, Nancy Clark, on May 8. The Chapter Regent, Janet Bridges, bestowed the Community Service Award on Mrs. Clark, stressing Nancy’s lasting impact on the children of Hart County, through her many years of teaching here, as well as her years in school administration, including serving as Superintendent of Hart County schools. Mrs. Bridges noted the appropriateness of honoring Mrs. Clark during Teach Appreciation Week. The Regent spoke of the many contributions that Nancy has made in all three mission areas of the Daughters of the American Revolution: Patriotism, Education, and Historical Preservation. In her own remarks, Mrs. Clark stated that she has enjoyed every minute of her involvement in the community.
