Tonight, we celebrate more than a wonderful ladies’ night out — we celebrate the power of a community coming together for a meaningful cause!

The Hartwell Service League is grateful to everyone attending, sponsoring, donating, decorating, and supporting the Pink Partini, benefiting the Nancy Hart Foundation.

The Nancy Hart Foundation provides financial and emotional support to women in Hart County undergoing cancer treatment, as well as to families where children under 18 are receiving cancer treatment. Your generosity helps bring comfort, hope, and a helping hand when it is needed most.

We’ve Brought Home the Silver to Hartwell!

The Hartwell Service League is incredibly proud to be recognized as the Overall State Best Arts & Culture CSP by the Georgia Federation of Women’s Clubs!

This honor celebrates the dedication of our members and the many ways our Arts & Culture efforts help enrich, inspire, and connect our community. From supporting local arts to creating meaningful cultural experiences, our members continue to make a difference right here in Hartwell.

We are honored to represent Hartwell on the state level and so proud to bring this beautiful award home!

Congratulations to our amazing Arts & Culture CSP team and all of the Hartwell Service League members who made this recognition possible!

Well darn! See everyone on the 24th!!!

🎃 SCARY WEATHER? WE’VE GOT A PLAN! 👻

Unfortunately, Mother Nature has other plans for Scarecrow Saturday! 🌧️🌬️ With a not-so-great weather forecast, we’ve made the decision to cancel this Saturday’s Scarecrow Saturday activities.

But don’t worry—we’re not letting a little rain put a damper on the fun! 🍂🎃

We’re moving our kids’ crafts and activities to Hartoberfest on Saturday, October 24! We’ll have a Kids’ Craft Station on the Common Ground patio from 2–4 PM, along with a few other activity spots around downtown that we’ll announce soon.

Sometimes Mother Nature wins… but she’s not getting the last word! 😉🇺🇸🎃

Stay tuned for more updates on all the fun we have planned for Hartwell families during Hartoberfest! We can’t wait to see you downtown! ❤️

DID YOU KNOW?

The Hartwell Service League is proud to be a member of both the Georgia Federation of Women’s Clubs and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) — connecting our local service to more than a century of women coming together to make a difference.

The history is pretty amazing.

The General Federation of Women’s Clubs was founded in 1890, when 63 women’s clubs came together with a shared belief that women could make a greater impact by working together. Their motto, “Unity in Diversity,” reflects the idea that women with different interests, talents and communities can unite for a greater purpose.

Just a few years later, that movement came to Georgia. In 1896, sixteen women’s clubs came together to form the Georgia Federation of Women’s Clubs, creating a statewide network dedicated to education, community improvement and service.

And here in Hartwell, that tradition of service continues.

Founded in 1974, the Hartwell Junior Service League — now the Hartwell Service League — was created by local women who wanted to serve their community. Fifty years later, our members continue that tradition through scholarships, education, the arts, environmental projects, community organizations and countless hands-on service projects.

From 1890 to Hartwell today, the message remains the same:

Women working together can change their communities.
Together We Can.

We are proud of our history, proud of our federation, and most of all, proud to serve Hart County and the community we call home.

Scarecrows Are Back on the Square!

The Hartwell Service League is excited to support the return of Scarecrows on the Square, presented by Hartwell Main Street DDA!

Each year, local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community members get creative by designing their very own scarecrow to fill downtown Hartwell with fall fun.

This year, the Hartwell Service League is joining the fun with our very own “Dollycrow”—a scarecrow inspired by the one and only Dolly Parton!

Come downtown, stroll around the square, and check out all the creative, clever, and downright adorable scarecrows our community has created. And don’t forget to vote for your favorite!

Bring your family and friends, enjoy a little fall fun, and see which scarecrow captures your vote!
