Let's celebrate National Dog Day by giving our time, attention, and talents to many wonderful causes supporting our furry four-legged friends.

The Northeast GA Shelter intakes cats and dogs and is having a Low Country Boil on November 8th https://www.negas.org/blogs/post/annual-low-country-boil

Hart County Humane Society rescues pets and provides transitional housing and vetting until they find a new owner. This organization relies on donations and volunteers to help out. For ways to get involved, please visit https://harthumane.org/

The Hartwell Service League wrapped up the summer with a wonderful Summer Social in August! It was a lovely evening filled with fellowship, laughter, and time spent together with our HSL members.

A special thank you to our member, Gay Brown, for graciously hosting this fun gathering! Thank you to all our members who brought a delicious variety of potluck dishes to share.

What a wonderful way to enjoy one another’s company and end the summer season together!

The Environment CSP wants to remind Hart County residents that the Southeast Pollinator Census, sponsored by the University of Georgia Extension Service, is this Friday and Saturday, August 21st and 22nd.

We hope everyone goes out to count any pollinators you see on a specific plant for 15 minutes. You can do this anywhere - your yard, botanical gardens, or on a trip.
