🚤📦 What a RACE! 📦🚤

The Lavonia Rotary Cardboard Boat Race was an absolute blast! 🎉 We had 8 creative cardboard boats take to the water, and the crowd came out in full force to cheer them on! 📣🙌

From the creativity of the boats to the determination of the teams (and a few spectacular moments on the water 😂), it was such a fun day bringing our community together.

A HUGE thank you to all 8 teams who participated, everyone who came out to cheer, and everyone who helped make the event possible! Another thank you to Tugaloo State Park for hosting us!!

Our community sure knows how to have a good time—and we’re already looking forward to the next year’s race! 🚤🥳

We were honored to welcome Courtney Umbehant, Mayor of Lavonia, as our guest speaker at Rotary! 🇺🇸

Mayor Umbehant shared an update on the incredible growth Lavonia has experienced, the grants and funding the city has been fortunate to receive, and the exciting plans being made for Lavonia’s future.

It was great to hear about the work being done to continue improving our city while preserving the community that makes Lavonia such a special place to live, work, and raise a family. We also appreciate Mayor Umbehant’s commitment to continuing to partner with Rotary as we work together to make our community even better. 🤝

Thank you, Mayor Umbehant, for taking the time to join us and for sharing your vision for the future of Lavonia!

🎉 Welcome to Lavonia Rotary, Gene Williams! 🎉

We are excited to welcome Gene Williams as the newest member of the Lavonia Rotary Club! We’re looking forward to having Gene join us as we continue Service Above Self and work together to make a difference in our community. 💙💛

At our meeting, we also watched a video highlighting the incredible impact Rotary has around the world. From supporting communities and improving lives to bringing people together through service, Rotary’s reach truly extends far beyond our own backyard. 🌎

We’re proud to be part of an organization that is making a difference locally and globally!

We had a great discussion about our upcoming cardboard regatta!! We have some great ideas being put into motion!
