🌡️ Today it's 106°F in Las Vegas.

For many of us, that means moving from one air-conditioned space to another. But for youth experiencing homelessness, extreme heat can be dangerous, especially during the Southern Nevada summer months.

When school is out, many young people lose access to the safe spaces, meals, resources, and supportive adults they rely on throughout the school year. As temperatures continue to climb, the need for shelter, hydration, and support becomes even more urgent.

At NPHY, we're working every day to ensure young people have access to safety, basic necessities, support, housing, and hope for the future. But we can't do it alone.

Help us make sure no young person has to face a Las Vegas summer without support.

We’re proud to share some exciting news from NPHY! NPHY's Community Engagement Coordinator, Juletta Thiessen, has been promoted to Community Engagement Manager.

Over the past three years, Juletta has been instrumental in growing NPHY’s presence in the community. From youth and community outreach to special events, speaking engagements, donation campaigns, volunteer programs, and more. Her work has helped strengthen our connections and expand our impact in the community.

Thanks to her dedication, the past year marked a major milestone, with our outreach and special events reaching their highest levels of success to date.

Juletta brings passion and a deep commitment to our mission, and we’re excited to see how she will continue to grow NPHY’s community engagement in this new role.

Please join us in congratulating Juletta on this well-deserved promotion!

Thank you to the , who recently hosted a clothing drive for NPHY and collected a ton of clothes that will now go into our clothing closet for youth to receive.

Access to clean, well-fitting clothing is about so much more than appearance. It helps young people feel confident and included, reduces barriers to attending school and work, supports hygiene, and helps prevent the isolation and stigma that many youth experiencing homelessness face.

Community support like this makes a meaningful difference in the lives of the young people we serve.

Want to help? NPHY accepts gently used clothing donations Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., at our Drop-In Center. Every donation helps ensure youth have access to the essentials they need to thrive!

Happy Pride Month from NPHY! 🌈

Here at NPHY, we celebrate LGBTQ+ youth and stand by our commitment to ensuring every young person has a safe place to call home.

Did you know that LGBTQ+ youth are disproportionately impacted by homelessness, making up an estimated 20–40% of young people experiencing homelessness in the U.S.? Many face housing instability due to family rejection, discrimination, and a lack of support.

At NPHY, we’re proud to stand with all youth to create a future where every young person is safe and valued!

It was a great day at the Sands Community Involvement Fair!

While Sands has long been one of our biggest community partners and supporters, opportunities like this allow NPHY to share with their employees who we are, what we do, and how they can get even more involved in our mission.

We are incredibly grateful to for all they do to support us and our community. Thank you so much for hosting us today!

With school being out of session, many young people lose access to critical resources that they rely on throughout the school year. For many youth, school provides not only education, but also daily meals, access to trusted adults, counseling and mental health support, transportation assistance, connections to community resources, and more.

As these supports become less accessible during the summer months, NPHY’s Safe Place program becomes an even more critical resource for youth in crisis. In fact, NPHY experiences its highest volume of Safe Place interactions during the summer season, including a significant increase in walk-in visits.

If your business, school, youth group, etc. is looking for more information about our Safe Place program, we’d love to set up time to host an education and training. With more people armed with the right information, we are able to reach more youth in need! Reach out to Vic at [email protected].

Congratulations to every young person across our community who is celebrating a graduation or major milestone this season!

Whether you're graduating from high school, vocational school, driver's education, a certification program, or another educational achievement, we are celebrating you and all that you've accomplished.

We are especially proud of the 15 young people in our housing program who are graduating this year. Their journeys have not been easy. While working toward their diplomas and certifications, many balanced jobs, some working multiple jobs at once, while also navigating homelessness, family conflict, housing instability, and countless other challenges.

Yet they persevered!

These graduates have shown incredible determination, resilience, and strength. They continued showing up for themselves and their futures, even when the obstacles in front of them seemed overwhelming.

Today, we celebrate not only the diplomas, certificates, and licenses earned, but also the courage, hard work, and persistence that made those accomplishments possible.

To all graduates: your community is proud of you. We can't wait to see what comes next as you continue pursuing your goals, dreams, and bright futures.

Join us in congratulating the Class of 2026!

We’d like to send a huge thank you to our friends at Andmore for providing NPHY with a grant to support Sunshine Kit builds for NPHY’s youth outreach efforts.

Through weekly outreach events across the Las Vegas community, NPHY connects with thousands of youth experiencing homelessness and housing instability each year. These outreach efforts allow our team to provide essential supplies, including food, hygiene products, and other basic necessities, while building trust and meaningful relationships with youth who may not know where to turn for help.

By meeting youth where they are, we can ensure they know about the safe, supportive services available to them whenever they are ready.

Support from partners like Andmore helps ensure NPHY always has critical supplies on hand when they’re needed most, making it possible for us to continue showing up for vulnerable youth in our community every single week. Thank you for helping us make a difference!
