ZERO APPLICATIONS FOR SOME DARLING KITTENS? 😿

We are absolutely shocked at the lack of applications for some of our darling older kittens!

The Pride and Prejudice group (Misters Bennet, Bingley and Darcy), and sweet bonded pair Milano and Alba have received ZERO applications. The Misters can be visited anytime our office hours are open, as they currently reside at our Adoption Center.

Milano and Alba are in a loving foster home, but are more than ready for their final destination.

Will you be the one to break the zero-applicant streak? Visit laramie-animals.org

🐾 KITTENS AND KIDS? ADORABLE--WHEN SUPERVISED RESPONSIBLY 🐾

There is no denying that watching a child and a kitten together is one of the cutest things on the planet. However, it is important to remember that while they are both adorable, they are not necessarily natural playmates right out of the gate.

Young children often do not understand their own physical strength or how to handle a tiny, fragile animal safely. On the flip side, kittens will naturally protect themselves if they feel squeezed, cornered, or hurt—and that means claws can come into play.

If you are looking to expand your family with a feline companion (and remember, a kitten is only a kitten for about six months before becoming a full-sized cat!), here are a few best practices to ensure everyone stays safe and happy:

• Create a Dedicated Safe Space: Always give your cat a room or area of the house where they can retreat completely away from young children. Having a child-free zone prevents the cat from feeling trapped, meaning they can simply walk away instead of needing to defend their boundaries.
• Separate the Bedrooms: The cat's safe room should not be a child's bedroom. Both children and cats deserve to sleep soundly through the night without accidentally disrupting or scaring each other.
• Always Supervise: Young children and pets should never be left together unattended. Active adult supervision protects both the child and the animal.
• Adults Are the Primary Caretakers: A young child should never bear the primary responsibility for a pet's well-being. Even if the kids are helping out with daily chores like scooping food or brushing fur, the adults in the home must always carry the final responsibility for the animal's care, health, and safety.

Pets can be absolutely wonderful for teaching children empathy, kindness, and how to care for another living being. But this teaching happens by adult demonstration and active guidance, not by leaving them alone to sort it out themselves!

By setting clear boundaries and teaching your children how to respect a cat's body language, you are setting both your kids and your new pet up for a lifetime of safe, loving friendship.

🌴 MEET THE BAND OF BROTHERS: BAJA, DURANGO, HIDALGO, AND OAXACA! 🌴

Looking to add a little spice and adventure to your home? We have a stunning quartet of kitten brothers who are ready to take on life with you, one playful pounce at a time. Meet Baja, Durango, Hidalgo, and Oaxaca!

These tiny adventurers have been lovingly raised in foster homes. Thanks to that hands-on care, they are incredibly comfortable with people, adore other cats, and have even given friendly dogs their seal of approval.

They also happen to come in a nice, even number: easy to take home a matched pair! We absolutely cannot wait to see what they look like when they get properly "toasted" up and their coat patterns deepen as they grow older.

⚠️ REMINDER: KITTENS ARE MUCH MORE SUCCESSFUL IN PAIRS!
If you are thinking about adding a kitten to your family, we highly recommend having an age-appropriate playmate already in the home, or collecting two (or more!) from this batch. Why?
• They keep teaching each other gentleness (like how hard is too hard to bite during playtime).
• They will wrestle each other at 3:00 AM instead of hunting your toes under the blankets (mostly).
• They grow up to be much better-adjusted, confident adult cats.

These babies are incredibly cute, deeply affectionate, and ready to bring a lifetime of entertainment to your living room.

❤️ HELP TOUGH THRIVE: A SPECIAL PUPPY WHO NEEDS OUR COMMUNITY ❤️

Every now and then, an animal enters our care who requires a little extra love, a lot of specialized support, and a truly dedicated village. Meet Tough.

Tough is a 6-month-old Presa Canario / Husky mix puppy, and despite his very young age, he is already facing significant lifelong challenges. This resilient, sweet boy is completely blind, mostly deaf, and deals with additional congenital medical conditions that require ongoing evaluation and specialized veterinary care.

Even with his world being dark and mostly silent, Tough is an incredibly sweet puppy who is working hard to learn how to navigate the world in his own unique way. He deserves the absolute best chance at a safe, comfortable, and enriched life.

To help him truly thrive, Tough urgently needs specialized medical support and adaptive care. Your donations will directly fund:

• A Muffin’s Halo for Blind Dogs: This specialized adaptive equipment will protect his head, help him safely navigate his surroundings without bumping into things, and build his confidence as he moves through space.
• Specialist Evaluations & Ongoing Care: He needs continued veterinary diagnostics and specialist evaluations to better understand his congenital conditions, alongside coverage for medical expenses already incurred.
• Acupuncture Treatments: To support his overall comfort, neurological function, and physical quality of life.

Tough's needs extend far beyond basic puppy care, but we know Laramie is a community that steps up for the animals who need us most. No amount is too small—every single dollar gives Tough a chance at the stability, comfort, and hope he deserves.

✨ Please visit laramie-animals.org/donate-to-help-tough to read more about his journey and help him out if you. Thank you for being Tough’s village! ✨

🍻 NOW ON TAP AT LAWS: THE KITTEN SEASON CRAFT FLIGHT! 🍻

Laramie, the heat is turning up, and we have just what you need to cool down. Skip the brewery this weekend because LAWS is officially tapping our freshest batch of artisanal, locally sourced, small-batch kittens!

Whether you prefer something light and bubbly or a more mature, robust profile, our foster-homes-turned-breweries have spent months perfecting these recipes. They are sweet, refreshing, and guaranteed to settle right in.

Check out our current tap list:

🐾 The Crisp & Fresh (2 Months Old):
Our youngest pours! These little ones are high-effervescence, deeply energetic, and notes of pure chaos. Excellent for those who want that immediate, unadulterated kitten buzz.

🐾 The Finely Aged (Up to 1 Year Old):
Finely aged with our very best foster families, these older kittens have a smoother finish. The notes of midnight curtain-climbing have mellowed out, leaving behind a perfectly balanced profile of sweet snuggles, playtime confidence, and established litterbox etiquette.

⚠️ BREWMASTER’S NOTE: KITTENS DO MUCH BETTER IN PAIRS!
Just like a good craft brew, you should never enjoy a kitten alone. Single kittens can get a bit "skunky" from boredom. Grab a matching pair for the ultimate balanced experience—trust us, they keep each other entertained so your furniture doesn't have to suffer!

✨ View our full tap list of adoptable cuties and submit your application online at laramie-animals.org. ✨

🚨 URGENT: Foster Homes Needed 🚨
We are in critical need of foster placements for several puppies in our care and on intake hold. Without foster homes, we are unable to help them.

🐾 1) Tough – SPECIAL NEEDS -Tough is a 8-month-old puppy currently in our care. He is blind, mostly deaf, and has additional congenital medical concerns. He requires a committed, foster home that can provide stability, patience, and specialized care.

His current LAWS foster family is amazing and has done such an incredible job with him but is no longer able to keep him, so he is needing a new placement.

🐾 2) German Shepherd/Cane Corso Mix Puppies (4 total)- Born April 18, 2026 (7 weeks old) These four sweet puppies are friendly, social, and good with both people and other animals. They are not yet potty trained and have not received vaccinations due to their age. They need safe foster homes to grow and thrive until adoption.

🐾 3) Update- saved- secured by another rescue!!! Wind River Reservation Aussie Mix Puppy- A young Aussie mix (best guess) puppy currently being bullied by adult dogs in the area. This pup needs immediate removal and a safe foster placement.

🐾 4) Update- saved- secured by another rescue!!! Tan & White Lab/Shepherd-Type Puppy
A taller tan and white puppy, likely a Lab/Shepherd mix (best guess), also located on the reservation and needing foster placement alongside the pups in the same area.

🐾 5) Update- saved- secured by another rescue!!! Older Black Puppy (Reservation – Same Property) An older black puppy located on the same property as the above reservation pups. This puppy is also being bullied by people and other dogs in the area and is not in a safe situation. Urgent foster needed.

🐾 6) Additional Reservation Litter (3 Puppies) Three mixed-breed puppies on another property: Two brown and white
One fluffy white with brown spots
All need foster homes before we can safely bring them into care.

💔 We cannot take in or help any of these puppies without foster homes lined up.

If you are able to open your home, to help save a life, please fill out our foster application- https://www.laramie-animals.org/foster.

Every foster placement makes an immediate difference.

🐾 MEET THE LITTLE RASCALS: ELIO, LUCA, & JINU! 🐾

Are you ready to invite a whirlwind of joy into your home? Allow us to introduce our resident trio of adventurous gray-and-white brothers: Elio, Luca, and Jinu!

These boys are your quintessential five-month-old kittens. Their daily routine is pretty simple: energy, more energy, a little more energy, and then completely bonking out on your couch in the absolute cutest positions imaginable.

They are deeply affectionate, incredibly playful, and mostly fearless (though, to be completely fair, the vacuum cleaner is still their ultimate nemesis).

At five months old, kittens need plenty of mental stimulation and physical enrichment to stay out of trouble. Because of this, these brothers would thrive best if they are adopted in pairs, or if they go to a home that already has friendly, existing pets to keep them company.

Trust us, opting for "double the fun" is the best thing you can do for your household! You will be so glad you did when you get to watch them wrestle each other for three hours straight, completely leaving your curtains and your toes under the blankets alone.

When you adopt from this trio, you are adopting a lifetime of giggles, entertainment, and sweet, purry snuggles.

✨ Your next great adventure is waiting. Head over to laramie-animals.org to submit your adoption application today! ✨

🎨🧡Brilliant Art from Big Hearts🧡 🎨

Our hearts are so full after seeing the incredible artwork created by Mrs. Spicer’s 4th-grade class at Indian Paintbrush Elementary School.

Mrs. Spicer’s students painted portraits of adoptable animals and turned them into greeting cards, which they sold to benefit LAWS! A huge thank you for sharing your time and talents to create these delightful masterpieces!!

Raising awareness for our animals was already such a thoughtful act of kindness, but donating the proceeds from your card sales to support the animals you painted was truly above and beyond.

Your support means so much to us and all the sweet faces you captured in your art. 🐾🧡

🚨 URGENT PLACEMENT NEEDED FOR ORBIT 🚨

We are putting out an immediate, urgent call for our beautiful girl Orbit. She desperately needs a new placement as soon as possible—whether that is a dedicated adopter or a committed new foster home where she can land for a while.

Orbit is a gorgeous, high-energy herding/pit mix. If you know herding dogs, you know they are incredibly brilliant, loyal, and possess an amazing drive to learn. In the right environment, Orbit is a superstar. Orbit has great house manners, is fully crate-trained, and knows several commands including sit, down, shake, and come. She walks nicely on leash (especially when there are treats involved!) and has solid recall in calm, low-distraction areas. She’s also a big fan of chew bones, squeaky toys, and belly rubs. This beautiful black-and-white girl thrives with structure and gentle guidance.

Here is what Orbit needs to succeed:

• An Only Pet Home: Orbit has a tendency to resource guard (meaning she does not like sharing her valued items, food, or space with other animals). She needs to be the center of your world with no other pets in the home.
• An Adults-Only Household: Because she needs a predictable environment where she feels secure, Orbit will not be placed in a home with children.
• An Experienced Handler: Ideally, Orbit needs someone who understands the high-energy, high-enrichment needs of a herding/pit mix. She needs mental stimulation, structure, and someone who can read her cues and keep her mind active.

Orbit has so much potential, but she needs a new placement ASAP. If you have experience with working dogs, a quiet home, and the room in your heart to help a dog who truly needs a savior right now, please reach out.

Can you provide the secure, loving environment Orbit is searching for?
