Leave a Lasting Legacy: LAWS Giving Tree🍂

Something beautiful is growing at LAWS and you can be part of it!

At our future facility at 606 Skyline Road, a stunning, floor-to-ceiling aspen tree sculpture in our entrance brings a little piece of Wyoming’s natural beauty indoors. Created by Centennial chainsaw artist Eric Tkachenko. It will be a lasting tribute to the people who make our work possible and a special part of our future home.

A heartfelt thank-you to Helen Coates of Laramie, whose generous gift sponsored the tree’s trunk and supports the LAWS Dog Program!

🍁 NOW YOU CAN ADD YOUR OWN LEAF!

Engraved metal leaves are available for sponsorship, with each gift helping fund our building project and the renovation work still ahead.

🥉 Bronze - $250
🥈 Silver - $500
🥇 Gold - $1,000

🐾 Honor a beloved pet, remember someone special, celebrate your family, or recognize a local business. Each engraved dedication will become a permanent part of the tree for as long as the building stands.

🌿 Eight leaves have already been sponsored! Help us fill the branches with names, memories, and tributes from the people who care about animals and believe in the future of LAWS.

✨ READY TO LEAVE YOUR MARK?

1️⃣ Choose your sponsorship level at https://laramieanimals.org/givingtree

2️⃣ Complete the short online form to submit your custom engraving details.

Every leaf tells a story. Every gift helps support the work still ahead. Together, we’re building a future for the animals and community we serve.

💚 Let’s grow this legacy together, one leaf at a time!

Huge thanks to a group of students from Wyotech who spent a long day helping out at the new building on Saturday. They cleaned, organized, painted, and built a cat feeding station for us. They pushed up their sleeves and put in a serious work day! THANK YOU!!

🐾 MISSING CAT – PLEASE HELP BRING HENRY HOME! 🐾

Henry (previously named Ash) was adopted through LAWS and has been missing for four nights. He is deeply loved by his owner, who is worried about him and misses him dearly.

Henry is an indoor cat who occasionally spends time outside in the yard. He has not returned home, and there have been no confirmed sightings since he went missing.

📍 Last known location: 10th and Ord area in Laramie, WY

❤️ Please keep an eye out for Henry! If you see him, please report the sighting and the exact location where he was seen. Even if you aren’t able to catch him, knowing where he is could make all the difference in helping get him home safely.

📞 Please text or call LAWS with any sightings at 307-460-3775.

Please share this post to help us reach more people in the area. Let’s help bring Henry home to the person who loves him so much!

First, let’s give a round of applaws to all the amazing fosters who tend to our sweet (and sometimes spicy) little apples all year round. Your work deserves celebration, and we are so grateful for your compassion and all the care you give. Our orchard certainly wouldn’t be the same without you ❤️🍎

And friends, please browse our orchard and see if there’s room in your basket for one (or a few) of the very best apples around! We’re here to answer all your questions, so we can produce your perfect companion. It won’t be too hard because there’s no such thing as a bad apple with us! 🫶🐈

An enormous THANK YOU to everyone who has applied to volunteer with LAWS recently! 💚🐾 We are blown away by the incredible response and support from our Laramie community.

Because we’ve received such a high volume of general volunteer applications, we want to give you a quick update on where things stand:

We Need a Dedicated Volunteer Coordinator!

Right now, our core team is juggling multiple operational roles—including coordinating all of our amazing volunteers! We are actively looking for someone to step into a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator position. If you have a knack for organization, leadership experience, or a background in volunteer management, we would love to have you on board to lead and support our volunteer team.

If this sounds like a great fit for you, please email us directly at [email protected]! Learn more at https://laramieanimals.org/volunteer

2. A Quick Note on General Applications:

If you’ve already submitted an application to volunteer, thank you so much for your patience! We haven't forgotten about you and can't wait to welcome you to the team. Because our kennel shifts are currently full and we are working through a large queue, our response time for general volunteer onboarding will likely push into November.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as our small team works hard to keep everything running smoothly for the animals. Thank you for standing with us, Laramie! 🐾✨
