Nonprofit-Based Affordable Montessori Education

The Montessori Children’s House of Laramie (MCHL) is a non-profit preschool devoted to providing an affordable, authentic early childhood Montessori education to the Laramie community. Committed to a whole-child approach to learning, MCHL promises to follow each child and provide a unique, high-quality experience to its families and students.

How do we make tuition affordable? We are overseen by a volunteer board that is elected by the families of MCHL. Only our teaching staff is paid. We work to keep expenses down while providing the most authentic Montessori education we can. Tuition is set at the most competitive rate possible because we want this education to be accessible to all families. We accept payment from the Department of Family Services (DFS) for those families who qualify. For those families who do not quality for DFS, but still find it financially challenging to pay for preschool with or without childcare, there are needs-based scholarships.

We are fortunate to have the support of Friends of Laramie Montessori (FLM), our parent organization in regards to scholarship availability. Shortly after MCHL was founded, FLM established the Montessori Preschool Scholarship Program. In our first three years of operation, four $2000 scholarships have been awarded based on financial need. These scholarships have dramatically reduced monthly tuition for these families. Information about these scholarships is updated as donations are secured by FLM.
