LINK IN BIO

Hi Foodshed Fam, we are coming to you all with a humble ask this season. As you may know, we just had a historically dry Winter, leaving reservoirs unreplenished and ditch water shares we desperately depend on for growing food in this dry climate at historic lows. This means, we have to purchase more “foreign” water shares in order to supplement the little water we had been allotted.

This is where you come in: you can directly support the growing of local vegetables for six farms on our Flores del Sol Accelerator site by contributing to this Gofundme! These funds will allow us to purchase more shares to keep food growing, and to perform essential maintenance on the ditch that conveys our water.

If you are feeling a sense of climate anxiety these days, this is a real, tangible way you can make your community more resilient to the intensifying weather patterns here.

If you are not in a position to give, please consider sharing this post, or signing up to volunteer for one of our ditch maintenance days—more info to come on those soon. Thank you all for your investment and support of our community of growers!

This past Saturday marked the first market week for 3 of our growers in the Accelerator this year! First markets ever for and ! We are so proud of the hard work it has taken to get to this point, and excited to see them continue to find their niches in their products, branding, growing practices, and personalities. Shout out for providing a fantastic market channel opportunity for local growers, and thanks Fort Collins community for supporting these guys by buying local veg!

It’s go time now!👩‍🌾

Last Thursday, and gathered the troops for a much needed preseason get together to connect, be in community, and enjoy good food. Our producers, staff and boards came together for a crawfish boil: and like everything we try to do out here, it was the REAL DEAL!

This season has already brought with it a series of challenges, from drought to intense early heat waves to wind pressure and everywhere in between. It’s important to us that our boards, staff and producers not only have a chance to share with each other about their needs, projects and wins but also to just take an evening to enjoy. Our farm neighbors, .from.the.farm hosted us and we were so glad to get to celebrate the amazing neighbors they are as well!

This week we are back at it working tirelessly to support your local food system, with refreshed minds and full bellies!

Noco producers!! Take a second to come out and enjoy good food, good people, watch some big machines do their thing, and shop Kubota deals. Sounds like self care to us!

Noco community: come shop with 12-2! Supporting your local economy in a challenging season like this has never been more important.
