November is American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month—a time to honor the diverse cultures, histories, traditions, and present-day contributions of American Indian and Alaska Native peoples.

LACADA celebrates the strength of Native communities and the voices shaping their futures. We encourage everyone to learn from Native authors, artists, educators, and community leaders this month and throughout the year.

Together, we can help build communities where heritage is respected and everyone deserves safety and belonging.

LACADA is incredibly grateful to the DTE Energy Foundation for once again supporting domestic violence shelters and survivors across Michigan.

Their continued generosity helps LACADA provide safe shelter, crisis support, advocacy, and survivor-centered, trauma-informed services to individuals and families in our community.

Because of community partners like the DTE Energy Foundation, survivors have someone to call, somewhere safe to go, and someone who will listen. 💜
