Ever wonder where all the recycling goes that we collect from you awesome recyclers?? Well wonder no more...our partner, Rick Rhein Disposal, takes all the general recycling you bring us to a long-time recycling facility that operates under SOCRRA.

SOCRRA (Southeastern Oakland County Resource Recovery Authority) is a municipal corporation founded in the early 1950's. They consist of twelve member municipalities in the Oakland County area all working together for the environment!!

The SOCRRA facility is amazing and has employees that sort the recycling as well as employees that operated specialized machinery that automatically sorts out the recycling.

Check out their website at www.SOCRRA.org for more information!

Help keep essential workers safe by bagging and securely closing all trash. When using a garbage can, all trash must go into can bagged and securely closed. Thank you for your assistance to keep workers safe!

Are you excited??? We’re excited!! Why?? Because it’s drop off recycling time this Saturday!!

Bring us your clean and dry recycling in bins or untied bags between 9:00am and Noon this Saturday, April 18 at Schickler Elementary School. The Lapeer High School Environmental Club will also be on hand to take your plastic film (grocery bags, zip lock bags, etc) and your egg cartons. If you need egg cartons, you’re welcome to take whatever we collect, just ask us!

Looking forward to seeing you there and thanks for recycling. ♻️💚♻️💚♻️💚♻️
