The Region 1D Women’s Council will be hosting the Ruben Burks Scholarship Luncheon on Saturday, July 25, in Flint, Michigan.

We are looking to see who would be interested in attending this special event honoring the legacy of Brother Ruben Burks while supporting scholarships for future generations.

If you would like to attend or would like more information, reach out to me or to the hall secretary by Monday July 20th. We would love to have a strong showing from our local in support of this meaningful event.

Together, we continue to honor those who paved the way while investing in the leaders of tomorrow.

Brothers and Sisters,

It is with heavy hearts that we remember one of our cherished retirees, Marilyn Coulter. Marilyn dedicated countless years to our Local, helping to shape the path that so many of us now walk. Through her leadership, commitment to civil rights, and tireless service, she played an instrumental role in establishing and growing many of the things that continue to strengthen our union today.

Her legacy is one of service, compassion, and unwavering dedication to working people. Because of the foundation she helped build, many of us have had opportunities to lead, serve, and make a difference in the lives of others.

I am asking each of you to join me in honoring Marilyn's memory by contributing toward a memorial donation. No amount is too small. Together, we can show our appreciation for a woman whose work and sacrifice helped pave the way for generations of union members.

If you would like to contribute, please let me know, and I will coordinate the collection at our Union Hall. Thank you for joining me in celebrating Marilyn's life and honoring the incredible legacy she leaves behind.
