Nothing gets past our Violent Crimes Initiative team!

Recently, we executed a search warrant in connection to a non-fatal shooting. The accused was found and arrested without incident, and during the search of the home, VCI members found two reported stolen fi****ms and over 220g of narcotics.

The accused in this shooting, a previously convicted felon, was brought to the Lansing City Jail for several charges, including assault with intent to murder, felon in possession of a firearm, possession with intent to distribute narcotics, along with many other charges.

Big thanks to the Michigan State Police Secure Cities Partnership, East Lansing Police Department, and the Eaton County Sheriff’s Department for their joint membership and commitment to VCI, working every day to reduce violent crime in the greater Lansing area 🚔 🚨

The American Postal Workers Union and the U.S. Postal Service have reached a tentative Collective Bargaining Agreement, announced APWU President and Lead Negotiator Mark Dimondstein. The proposed union contract is three years in duration: September 21, 2024, through September 20, 2027.
