May 28 is the International Day of Action for Women’s Health - a call to center bodily autonomy, access, and justice in every aspect of care. ✨

Around the world and in our own communities, women face barriers to safe, trustworthy, respectful, and culturally responsive healthcare. Women from marginalized communities often navigate even more barriers. ❤️

Want to take action?
• Advocate for policies that protect reproductive health and expand access to midwifery and community-based care ✊🏽
• Support organizations led by Black, Indigenous, and other marginalized communities advancing birth justice 🤎
• Normalize and protect breastfeeding in public and at work 🫶🏽
• Listen to and amplify the voices of those most impacted by health inequities 🎙️
• Ask your workplace and local leaders how they’re prioritizing equity in healthcare access 📣

Not sure where to start? Join our monthly Local Breastfeeding Supporter Meetings to hear from advocates and experts from around the state and let their work inspire you to turn awareness into action. 🌱

This model reflects what it actually takes to sustain this work.

Continuing education costs have increased. Presenter compensation has changed. The infrastructure behind offering accessible, high-quality webinars has grown.

We’re building a model that can hold that reality without losing access. 💙🌿

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the service members who lost their lives in service to this country. We recognize the weight of that sacrifice and hold space for the families, loved ones, and communities who carry it every day. 🕊️

As we reflect, may we also recommit to caring for the future, including future generations, by increasing support, access, and systems that prioritize humanity, safety, mental health, family togetherness, and justice.

We honor those who gave their lives and those still fighting for a world where families can thrive. 💙🕯️

We use a tiered pricing model because access does not look the same for everyone.

Some participants have institutional support. Some do not. Some are navigating financial constraints. Some are able to give more to help sustain shared spaces.

We hold all of that in the same model 🤝

💙 Sustainer (pay-it-forward) - $50
💙 Standard (true cost) - $25
💙 Community (reduced rate) - $15
💙 BIPOC (equity-centered) - $5

Fear should never be a barrier to receiving prenatal, birth, postpartum, or lactation care - yet for many families across the United States, it is.

As part of the Great Lakes Breastfeeding Webinars, join us for “Caring in Crisis: Best Practices for Birth and Lactation Support When Families Fear Detention.”

This powerful session centers the lived realities of immigrant and racially marginalized families navigating healthcare systems under fear of surveillance, detention, and harm. Together, we’ll explore practical, community-centered strategies to support safety, trust, and compassionate care during crisis.
