As of October 1st, Chardae is officially MOASH’s Co-Executive Director alongside Taryn!

Chardae first began at MOASH in 2018. She has worked in a variety of leadership roles, leading YACs, all of MOASH's programs, and now MOASH as a whole! Over the past transitional period, Chardae has worked as MOASH's Interim Deputy Director to shift into this leadership and structural change.

Now, as Co-Executive Director, Chardae will work in conjunction with Taryn to provide the same excellent leadership you're used to while increasing capacity for MOASH's continued growth, sustainability, and youth-centered mission.

As of October 1st, Sarah has officially stepped into her new role as MOASH's Manager of Events & Marketing!

Sarah first began at MOASH as an intern in 2022 and has worked as MOASH's Communications Manager since May 2023. With a background in social work, she first fell in love with MOASH’s mission and work after bringing a young person to BAMM and realizing that MOASH was, quite literally, her dream job. Now, in a pretty special full-circle moment, she gets to oversee the very event that helped bring her here.

In her new role, Sarah will lead MOASH’s events from start to finish, including BAMM, while continuing to shape how our work shows up in the world.

We are ecstatic to announce that Natasha's role has officially changed to Manager of Policy & Advocacy!

Natasha leads MOASH's Youth Advocacy Team, uplifts our legislative priorities ensuring youth voice is front and center, and works to create systems-level change in Michigan, through everything from ensuring young people are registered to vote to meeting with legislators.

She has a long history of uplifting youth leaders and cultivating a generation of young people who are informed, engaged, and ready to use their voice.

Thank you to the Michigan Council for Maternal and Child Health for celebrating this moment with us, and to the Michigan League for Public Policy for honoring MOASH with the 2026 Champion for Kids Award!

We share this recognition with the young people who lead and shape our work every day. Their voices make our work possible, and we’re proud to keep building a Michigan where all young people can thrive. 💜

For 25 years, the Michigan LGBTQ+ Students Project has helped Michigan schools become safer and more affirming for LGBTQ+ young people.
Now, this statewide lifeline is at risk. We need to raise $250,000 to sustain the project for two more years—supporting training, technical assistance, resources, evaluation, and direct collaboration with schools.

Since 2020 alone, the project has reached 8,751 participants from districts serving approximately 90% of Michigan students. This work matters—and we need your help to keep it going.

Read the new Pride Source article and donate through our website. Links can be found in our bio. Every gift and every share helps. 💜
