The UPLYFT Group recently received the Community Leadership Award at the first-anniversary celebration of Eric Blessed Carpenter Eric’s ID Law, in recognition of our community engagement and advocacy in support of the law.

Enacted under House Bill 707 and Senate Bill 618, Eric’s ID Law provides a voluntary designation on Maryland driver’s licenses, ID cards, and moped permits for individuals with non-apparent developmental or intellectual disabilities.
