From conflict resolution to community action, GPCorps creates opportunities for youth to develop the values, knowledge, and experience needed to build a more peaceful world.

🤝 Strengthening Collective Action for WPS Agenda

Civil Society Organizations working to advance the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Agenda in Tanzania will come together for a day of dialogue, learning and collaboration.

The engagement will provide an opportunity to share experiences, discuss priorities and explore ways of strengthening collective efforts towards the implementation of Tanzania’s National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security.

Service may end. Its impact doesn’t.

A water system built. Trees planted. Communities cleaned. Friendships formed. But what young volunteers carry home can be just as meaningful as what they leave behind.

Across the Global Peace Foundation network, service is helping young people develop humility, resilience, empathy, stewardship, and the ability to work across differences.

Long after a project ends, those lessons continue—in classrooms, workplaces, communities, and future leadership.

This International Youth Month, we celebrated young people who are not only serving their communities, but growing into leaders who understand that peace is built through relationships, shared responsibility, and action.

Representing Hon. James Bryan Alcid, Mayor of Laoag City, Rionell Jan Respicio, Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President of Laoag City, delivered a message of support to the young leaders and community sectors gathered in the city for the Global Youth Summit 2026.
