Communities thrive when we partner to enhance programs and resources. The Quad County SAVE program is proud to collaborate with the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office to address community concerns through prevention, early intervention, and support.

This partnership strengthens trust between agencies and residents and makes sure families receive the resources they deserve. This success shows what’s possible when community partners unite with a shared mission.

Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day that commemorates freedom, reflects on our nation's history, and recognizes the strength and contributions of Black Americans whose voices, leadership, and perseverance continue to shape our communities.

As we reflect on the meaning of Juneteenth, we also reaffirm our commitment to creating pathways to housing, health, and human services that help individuals and families thrive.

We celebrate this day of remembrance, progress, and possibility.

As we continue celebrating 130 years of service, we’re celebrating the impact behind the numbers.

In this message, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Suzanne Tobin shares how the dedication of our more than 600 employees reflects the heart of VOACC’s mission.

It’s their commitment that helps us create healthier communities for all.

Watch and join us in thanking our incredible team!

"You Are Enough"

That simple message on a staff event cake reflects the care our residential and direct care teams bring every day through encouragement, support, and celebrating progress along the way. For many of the individuals we serve, those words can be a powerful reminder.

VOACC is grateful for our residential staff across DC, Maryland, Virginia, and the Carolinas, who help create spaces where people feel valued and supported. Thank you for the difference you make each day. 💙

"Run in such a way as to get the prize." – 1 Corinthians 9:24

As the world turns its attention to the World Cup, Rev. Jules reminds us that we are each running a race of our own. The good news is that God's purpose for your life is uniquely yours. We are not in competition with one another. Instead, we can encourage each other, celebrate one another's victories, and keep moving forward together.

This week, stay focused on the path God has set before you. Keep running with faith, determination, and hope, knowing that He has created you for a purpose.

May grace and peace be yours today and throughout the week.

For more than 20 years, Lillie Flowers has been part of the VOACC family. We are pleased to shine the spotlight on her today as part of our yearlong 130th anniversary celebration!

Starting as a clerical assistant at a residential program center in Arlington, Virginia, Lillie has supported our mission in many ways over the years, from payroll and human resources to staff training and accounts payable.

What she remembers most is seeing lives change through the care and commitment of VOACC staff.

“I saw many clients come into the shelter or detox program with acute needs. Through the work of the caring VOACC staff and their great professionalism, most left with confidence and a place to call their own.”

Thank you, Lillie, for 20 years of dedication and service. ❤️
