“Christmas is not a myth, not a tradition, not a dream - it is a glorious reality.” Reverand Billy Graham

On behalf of the over 22,000 Sons of AMVETS nationwide I would like to extend Merry Christmas to everyone in the AMVETS family and all our friends. As you gather with loved ones, may you experience this Christmas with the eyes of a child and feel the wonder of love and joy the season has to offer.

For the men and women in active duty, may the glorious Christmas message of peace and love fill your hearts. May God provide you a personal Christmas Star to guide you safely home and into the warm embrace of your family.

This special day in the history of mankind recalls the words of President Ronald Reagan in 1981. “On Christmas, we celebrate the birth of Christ with prayer, feasting, and great merriment. But, most of all, we experience it in our hearts. For more than just a day Christmas is a state of mind. It is found throughout the year whenever faith overcomes doubt, hope conquers despair, and love triumphs over hate. It is present when men of any creed bring love and understanding to the hearts of their fellow man. The feeling is seen in the wondrous faces of children and in the hopeful eyes of the aged. It overflows the hearts of cheerful givers and the souls.”
Have a safe and Merry Christmas.

With warmest regards,

Patrick Holcombe

Greetings,

Thanksgiving is a meaningful occasion for everyone to pause from their normal daily routines and express humble appreciation to our Creator for the bounty that we, as Americans, are fortunate to enjoy. On behalf of the Sons of AMVETS nationwide, I would like to extend heartfelt wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving to every member of the AMVETS family and our friends.

Thanksgiving also serves as a time for reflection. One hundred and sixty-two years ago, President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a National Day of Thanksgiving. Even during the difficult days of the Civil War, Thanksgiving Day provided an opportunity to show gratitude for our blessings, especially for the sacrifices made by those serving in our military.

Then as now, we remain indebted to every man and woman of our armed forces who have stood watch to protect our liberty and freedom. To all those currently deployed, please know that the Sons of AMVETS across the country, along with all Americans, will be thinking of you as they gather around the Thanksgiving table and will be praying for your safe return. To the families at home who sacrifice on behalf of their loved ones in service, we offer our heartfelt thanks.

God bless and Happy Thanksgiving.

We are proud to announce that Past National Commander Bobby Bryant has made an incredible donation of $27,000 to The Taylor Foundation.

This generous gift will go a long way in supporting veterans and their families, continuing our mission of service and dedication to those who served our nation.
The Taylor Foundation mission is to work with organizations supporting our veterans and their family through the challenges of post traumatic stress.

👏 Please join us in thanking Bobby Bryant for his leadership, generosity, and unwavering commitment to our veteran community.

Wow! We are humbled and stoked to share that yesterday we received a $27,000 donation from the National Sons of AMVETS Commander, Bobby Bryant, who raised these funds through a series of personal fundraisers.

Champions like Bobby make the magic happen, and this life changing contribution will absolutely be reinvested into keeping our heroes alive and mentally healthy.

Thank you Bobby.
You’re the real rockstar this week!
