Not just met the goal. Exceeded it.

Together, this community raised $60,000 for Whidbey Island families this spring. We are still pinching ourselves.

You gave. You shared. You believed in Whidbey Island families when they needed you most.

We believe every family deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated. Every family. And we are so proud to show up for our LGBTQIA+ community and the families we serve together.

That was our last regular Playscape session of the season and what a way to end it!

Dear Community,

We're looking for people like you.

People who care deeply. Who show up. Who understand that sometimes a family just needs someone to sit with them and say "you're not alone." Or someone who sees a messy pile of donations and thinks "I can make this beautiful and welcoming for families."

Right now, island families are reaching out. Fast. Military spouses during deployments. New parents without family nearby. Families who desperately need your warmth, your affection, your understanding.

We've grown our team of volunteers significantly, and we have the warmest group of people working behind the scenes to make this happen. Uncertain times call for community. And we need to build it up more.

Our programs are growing, and we need folks across all of them. Mentoring. Playscape. Parent Pantry. Your care matters in every single place.

Whether you're holding a baby, organizing donations, or creating a space where families feel seen, you're changing lives.

You don't need experience. You don't need to be perfect. You just need to care.

Military families are some of the most generous folks we know. Selflessly giving their time, their service, and sharing their stories.

Here on Whidbey, we’re lucky enough to call them are our neighbors. At the school pickup, the grocery store, the Playscape session on Tuesday morning. Calling Whidbey home with deep pride and gratitude for as long as they can.

Many do it with an empty chair at the dinner table while a loved one is deployed.

What a tour of duty asks of a family is something most people never fully see. Two stories happening at once. The one who goes carries the weight of the mission. The one who stays carries the weight of everything else. Alone.

Mother Mentors is a landing place and a support system for many military families navigating the beautiful, exhausting, tender season of early parenthood. A place to show up when the worry is loud and just be with folks that understand and appreciate all that your family brings.

This year, we are proudly serving more military families than ever. And each month, the number grows.

This is why we exist. And right now, in the final days of our Season of Growth campaign, we need your help to keep showing up for every family that finds us. Every gift reaches a family that needs exactly this.
