On Monday, our first day of summer camp a group of our 10-14 year olds embarked on the first day of Paddle Sport Camp with Whidbey Kayaking. 🌊🐠

The tides were too low to get safely in the water, so we opted to explore the Langley Marina, discover new sea critters, and learn terminology and basic skills on the paddle board and kayaks. 🪼🦀

Next week, we will hit the water!

We had a wonderful group for our Trivia Night Fundraiser this past Saturday. 📝

Thank you to the club member families and public who game to play and donated generously. We greatly appreciate the support for our upcoming summer program. 💙🤍

As well, thank you to Soundview Center for offering to host this event and Jenn for volunteering her time to run the tech.

We can’t wait for next year!

Making Paper Project 📄

This week the club members collected old scraps of paper from around the club.

Soaked them in water and added them into a blender to create “paper pulp”.

Added the pulp mixture to a large bucket filled with water.

Dunk screen in the bucket, sponge out extra water and leave to dry overnight.

Ta-da! 100% recycled homemade craft paper!
