🏀 NEW THIS SEASON: 3v3 Basketball for Grades 3–6

As players get older, basketball changes.

The court gets bigger. The basket gets higher. And the traditional 5v5 game becomes more complex.

Some players are ready for that transition right away. Others benefit from more time to build their skills, strength and confidence.

That’s why LAA introduced 3v3 Basketball.

3v3 gives developing players:
• More touches with the ball
• More opportunities to pass, shoot and defend
• More game repetitions
• More involvement in every possession
• A more gradual transition to the traditional 5v5 game

For players who are already comfortable with the larger court, higher basket and traditional team concepts, 5v5 remains the right fit.

The goal isn’t to decide which format is “better.” It’s to help every player compete, develop and enjoy basketball in the environment that fits them best.

Langhorne United Soccer is hosting a Summer Technical Academy at Community Park with former MLS professional Alex DeJohn.

Players will receive small-group training focused on technical development, game intelligence, individual goals, and professional-level habits.

📅 Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout August
⏰ 6:00 PM: Birth years 2019–2016
⏰ 7:00 PM: Birth years 2015–2010
💲 $50 per session or $325 for all eight sessions after the $75 club reimbursement

Held on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout August at Community Park, Langhorne, these 1-hour sessions cater to all skill levels with dedicated age groups for birth years 2019–2016 (6:00 PM) and 2015–2010 (7:00 PM).

Langhorne Athletic Association is looking ahead—and we want our families and community members to help shape what comes next.

We’ve launched a new Building the Future of LAA page where you can:

✅ Learn about proposed facility improvements
✅ Review future projects being considered
✅ Vote on what LAA should prioritize
✅ Submit an improvement idea
✅ Volunteer your professional expertise

One of the first projects under review is a proposed $31,990 renovation of four baseball and softball fields at Community Park. Before that work can move forward, LAA and Middletown Township must identify appropriate water-management, irrigation, and drainage solutions.

We also want to hear from members of the LAA family with experience in construction, engineering, landscaping, turf management, drainage, safety, electrical work, fundraising, grants, legal services, or vendor management.

Your knowledge, ideas, and support can help us bring the right solutions to every LAA program.

🚨 LAA Weather & Air Quality Update

Due to unhealthy air quality conditions (high AQI) in our area, all scheduled Langhorne Athletic Association outdoor activities for today have been canceled. This includes Baseball, Softball, and Soccer practices, games, and clinics.

The health and safety of our players, coaches, volunteers, and families is always our top priority. Young athletes are especially susceptible to poor air quality, and we believe this is the safest decision.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation. Please continue to monitor our page and your team’s communication channels for any additional updates.
