Days for Girls is proud to announce the launch of a pilot program with World Vision U.S. Programs to increase access to menstrual products in schools!

Now in addition to essential classroom supplies, teachers at low-income schools can also access sustainable menstrual health products for their students at World Vision USA Teacher Resource Centers.

Currently our Langhorne PA Team of Days for Girls is working on sewing and donating 1000 washable menstrual health kits to NYC DFG for immigrant girls and women.
Now we’re really pushing to supply hybrid kits to local food banks. The kits last at least three years and a 100% cotton washable. Menstrual supplies come out of a family’s food budget, about $9 a month per girl.
Lower Bucks County has 25 active food banks. We need your help. A kit costs $18 to make. We need $1800 to get a minimum of 100 kits to food banks locally. Every cent goes to materials.

The Light the World Giving Machines are here! 🌍

Here are the Giving Machines that will be open this weekend:
- Prescott Valley, Arizona: open November 16 through December 1
- Denver, Colorado: open now through January 5
- Glendale, West Phoenix, Arizona: open November 16 through January 1

Visit these Giving Machines and support Days for Girls by purchasing a DfG Kit for a school girl, a refugee, or a new mother. You could even sponsor a menstrual health education session for 50 women or girls. 🎁

To continue supporting us donate $25 to us. We’ll stretch those $ to reach as many women as we can, Lebanon, North Carolina, US food pantries. Help end period poverty!

Sending pads, waterproof shields, drawstring bags and waterproof carry bags to NYC Days for Girls Team to distribute locally. Thanks to Langhorne Team and MANY community students in preparing and sewing these items this spring and summer. We’re approaching making and donating 6000 washable, reusable menstrual kits lasting three years, giving women and girls over 1,000,000 days of safe free menstrual supplies.

Gender Equality cannot exist without Menstrual Justice for all. That is why the 2023 Women Deliver Conference’s Menstrual Health session by Global Menstrual Collective (Irise) had the following calls to action to advance menstrual health:

1. Recognition to invest in menstrual health to break barriers at the intersection of gender, race, economics, and climate. 🌍

2. Adopt a feminist lens to transform harmful power structures, norms, stigma, and discrimination in gender equality efforts. 🔍

3. Integrate menstrual health into sexual and reproductive health and rights across all life stages. 🚺

4. Center the voices of those with lived menstrual experiences in policies and programs. 🗣️👥

5. Inclusion of all people with disabilities, the LGBTQIA+ community, and those in humanitarian settings. 🏳️‍🤝

6. Increase investments in grassroots movements for social norm change and advocacy efforts at all levels. 🌱💬

7. Create spaces, physical and digital, for knowledge sharing and understanding menstrual health. 🌐🧠

8. Track progress globally, nationally, and locally in menstrual health, making data accessible for grassroots advocacy. 📊📢

Menstrual Justice plays a crucial role in achieving gender equality. When we tackle it as a whole, it can drive big changes towards equality for everyone. 👫🌟
