May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month — a time to GO GRAY for the children and families fighting battles no child should ever face.

Brain tumors are the leading cause of cancer-related death in children, yet pediatric brain cancer receives only a fraction of federal research funding. Among the deadliest is DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), a devastating brain tumor with no cure and very few treatment options.

When we Go Gray in May, we are doing more than changing a color. We are raising awareness. We are honoring children like Elle. We are standing with families who live this fight every single day. And we are demanding more research, more funding, and more hope for a cure.

Every post shared, ribbon worn, conversation started, and donation made helps shine a light on this disease and the urgent need for change. Together, we can turn awareness into action.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the incredible mothers out there today.

Today, we celebrate your strength, your love, your sacrifices, and the endless way you show up for your children each and every day.

We also hold close to our hearts the mothers who are carrying unimaginable loss — the mothers of angels, the grieving mothers, and the moms missing a piece of their heart today. We see you, we honor you, and we remember your beautiful children alongside you.

From all of us at Elle’s Angels Foundation, we are sending love, prayers, and hugs to every mother today. May you feel deeply loved and never alone.

Before her diagnosis, Elle was like every other 4-year-old girl. She was dynamic, kind, and full of fun and laughter. She loved to play with her older sister, watch Bluey, and dress up as some of her favorite princesses.
A few weeks after her 4th birthday, Elle was diagnosed with DIPG. She underwent thirty rounds of radiation at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and participated in two clinical trials. After a hard 14 months, she passed away in July 2021.

Today would have been her 10th birthday. Please keep her family in your thoughts as they remember their sweet girl.

Elle inspired so many and left her mark on this world in just five short years. She showed everyone what a strong and resilient little girl was. To honor her, the Caruso family started the Elle’s Angels Foundation. The mission of the foundation is to advocate and fund essential research to discover effective treatments for pediatric brain cancer, with an emphasis on DIPG.

We are proud to be a part of this community that is able to support families battling a DIPG/DMG diagnosis. Thank you to our supporters who make this possible.

As we continue to streamline our family support services and build our network of foundations and funds driven to provide financial support to families facing childhood cancer, we like to make a point of acknowledging those organizations and share the impact we're making each month. We are also excited to announce our third month of $40K+ reported funds supporting families in the fight!

LiveBrave2gether allows families to fill out a single application, review available grants, and find support more easily, quickly, and efficiently so we can do the work of contacting the appropriate organizations and families can focus on their child.

Today is World Cancer Awareness Day, and today we speak up for one of the cruelest childhood cancers: DIPG.

DIPG steals childhoods. It steals time. It steals futures. And for far too long, it’s been underfunded, under-researched, and under-recognized.

But these kids matter. Their lives matter. Their families matter.

We fight for awareness because awareness leads to funding.
Funding leads to research, and research leads to hope.

In honor of every child battling DIPG, every family walking this road, and every angel we carry in our hearts—we will not stop pushing until hope becomes a cure.
