Today, we remember the little girl who inspired it all.

Five years ago today, Elle earned her angel wings after a courageous battle with DIPG. It’s hard to believe she spent five beautiful years on Earth and has now spent five years in Heaven. Though her time here was far too short, her impact has been extraordinary.

Because of Elle, this foundation was born with one mission: to fund critical DIPG research and bring hope to families facing the unimaginable. Her legacy lives on through every donation, every fundraiser, every volunteer, and every step forward in the fight against pediatric brain cancer.

As we honor Elle today, we also thank every person who has stood beside our foundation over the past five years. Your support has transformed heartbreak into hope and has ensured that Elle’s light continues to shine.

Today, we remember her. We honor her. And we continue the fight in her name.

We would like to reiterate our heartfelt gratitude to all of our supporters. Because of your generosity, we are able to continue funding groundbreaking, game-changing research for DIPG and help move us closer to better treatments and, ultimately, a cure. 💜

ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation, together with its dedicated Family and Research Partners, is proud to announce a $4.2 million investment in nine new DIPG/DMG research projects over the next three years.

With this latest investment, ChadTough Defeat DIPG has now committed more than $48 million to support 111 researchers across 50 institutions worldwide.

Selected from one of the most competitive application cycles in the foundation's history, this year's awards include five New Investigator Grants ($400,000 over three years each) and four Game Changer Grants ($600,000 over three years each), supporting bold ideas with the potential to transform the future of DIPG/DMG treatment.

DIPG is one of the deadliest childhood cancers.

Each year, children are diagnosed with this aggressive brain tumor, and despite decades of research, there is still no cure. Most children survive less than a year after diagnosis.

Because DIPG is rare, it receives limited research funding—but every child deserves hope and every family deserves better options.

We must continue to raise awareness, support research, and fight for a cure. 💜

May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month — a time to GO GRAY for the children and families fighting battles no child should ever face.

Brain tumors are the leading cause of cancer-related death in children, yet pediatric brain cancer receives only a fraction of federal research funding. Among the deadliest is DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), a devastating brain tumor with no cure and very few treatment options.

When we Go Gray in May, we are doing more than changing a color. We are raising awareness. We are honoring children like Elle. We are standing with families who live this fight every single day. And we are demanding more research, more funding, and more hope for a cure.

Every post shared, ribbon worn, conversation started, and donation made helps shine a light on this disease and the urgent need for change. Together, we can turn awareness into action.

Today, we celebrate your strength, your love, your sacrifices, and the endless way you show up for your children each and every day.

We also hold close to our hearts the mothers who are carrying unimaginable loss — the mothers of angels, the grieving mothers, and the moms missing a piece of their heart today. We see you, we honor you, and we remember your beautiful children alongside you.
