Historical Society of Perry County

Historical Society of Perry County Our mission is to preserve, protect, and interpret the history of Perry County, Pennsylvania.

The Historical Society of Perry County serves as the steward of eight historic properties ranging in age from the 1821 Cochran-Anspach House in Millerstown to the 1884 Dromgold House and Farm in Shermansdale. We maintain one tavern, one covered bridge, two churches, two historic mansions, a schoolhouse, and a complete farmstead. We also operate and maintain a museum of Perry County History at Blue

Ball Tavern within Little Buffalo State Park, as well as a large collection of artifacts and manuscripts which document and highlight Perry County’s rich history. If you have a love of Perry County history or would like to learn more about our history, we cordially invite you to tour our properties, visit our museum, and help us preserve Perry County’s history.
