Perry County Council of the Arts PCCA builds community through the arts while re-imagining creativity in our rural landscape. OPEN Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10-4, or by appointment.

By nurturing the creative spirit in adults and children, supporting artists and celebrating their successes, actively participating in the continued revitalization of downtown Newport and the regional economy, and implementing high-quality art education initiatives in 7 counties, PCCA genuinely strives to build community through the arts. Visit us at Landis House in Newport, PCCA's headquarters, where we host exhibitions, classes, concerts and other community arts events. Shop our storefront PCCA Gallery, on the square in Newport, where we feature the artwork and handcrafted goods of more than 150 local artists. Shop Hours are: Wed-Sat, 10-4. PCCA welcomes all people to contribute to conversations on this page and to share content directly related to Perry County Council on the Arts' programs and events. Join us tomorrow evening before the Newport Halloween Parade🎃👻

Calling all young ghouls, guys, gals, and parents!

Join us for a free Spooky Storytime and Drop-In Art on Wednesday, October 21, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Newport Public Library! (Right before the Halloween parade starts at 7 p.m.)

Location: Newport Public Library, 316 N 4th St, Newport, PA 17074. Additional parking is available in the back. Spooky Storytime begins at 4 p.m. in the children's area.

We will be reading Wolves in the walls, written by Neil Gaiman and illustrated by Dave McKean.

Drop-In Art crafts will run from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in the sitting area.

Children and parents/guardians can create up to three themed fall & Halloween crafts together at our Drop-In Art stations.

This free activity is geared towards families and elementary- to middle-school-aged children.

We can't wait to see you there!

Join us for an amazing evening recognizing this year's selected artists from across the state! Enjoy food by Cheryl Miller, live music from Anna Santini, w**e, and good company!

The event is free; anyone is welcome to attend. We encourage you to bring friends and family to celebrate with us! ALSO, be sure to vote for your favorite piece for this year's People's Choice Award!
