Reminder that our open house is tomorrow, June 6th, 2026 from 11am to 2 pm. Please park towards the back of the building in order to leave room for responders to park on the side in the event of an emergency.

Ride a fire truck, have the kiddos compete in a mini version of the Firefighter Combat Challenge, learn about pet safety, and meet our station Dalmatian, Rosenbauer!

At noon sit in on a presentation from Dr. Nina Mantione about Pet Safety & CPR.

If you're hungry, CR'S Concessions & Ickesburg's Fry truck will be on the property for all your snacking needs.

Don't forget to drop off your coloring contest entries as well.

Hello Everyone! We are less than one month from the New Bloomfield Fireman's Carnival!
We would ask each of you to share this page as this is the Volunteer Fire Company's largest fundraiser of the year! The more shares, the more people that can come out and join the festivities!

The carnival is June 30 to July 4 with fireworks on July 4 at 10:30 p.m. Each night you will find food, games, entertainment, and rides for kids of all ages.

It takes over 3,000 volunteer hours to put the carnival on.

For each person that shares this page, they will be entered into a drawling for 2 free armbands and a $25.00 gift card to the food tent.

For a chance to win two free arm bands, share the post and comment on how many years you have been attending the carnival! (Its ok if is your 1st or 50th time!)

Vehicle Accident / 600 Mannsville Rd., Centre Twp.

Rescue 8, EMS 89, and Medic 1 responded to a reported vehicle accident with possible entrapment. Upon arrival, emergency crews found the driver still inside the vehicle but not trapped. The driver was safely removed, and EMS personnel assessed and transported the individual to a local hospital for further evaluation.
Rescue 8’s crew checked for any other hazards, while NBFD Fire Police and Utility 8 controlled traffic.
Rescue and Utility 8 responded with a total of 23 members on scene.

Memorial Day 2026

This day serves as an important opportunity to honor and remember all individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

The company pays special tribute to our former member, Sgt. Brent Dunkleberger, who lost his life on December 12, 2006, in Iraq while serving in the United States Army.

Company 8 also extends gratitude to all those who have served and continue to serve in the United States Armed Forces.

Please drop off the contest entries to our station at 215 S Carlisle St, New Bloomfield, PA 17068 on June 6th by the end of our community day at 2pm.

Contest entries must be colored by the child without the guardian's intervention or assistance.

Any deviation from the rules will result in disqualification from the contest.

Assisting Company 7 At A Commercial Building Fire / 633 Mountain Rd, Greenwood Twp.

Rescue and Tanker 8 were dispatched along with other fire companies from Perry and Juniata counties to assist Millerstown Fire Company with a commercial building fire.

Tanker 8 arrived on the scene and supplied water by dumping a load into a fold a tank. The crew from Rescue 8 assisted with fireground operations.

Engine 8 was dispatched later and assigned to establish a fill site at the Fish Commission boat ramp on West Juniata Parkway, providing water for tankers, till a water supply was set up near the fire scene.

Thanks to Shermans Dale Fire Company (Engine 12) for providing coverage for our 1st due.

Engine, Rescue, and Tanker 8 responded with a total of 13 personnel.
