There are some moments in life when there simply are no words.
Sweet Lilly is only five years old. She is a vibrant, beautiful little girl who should be running, laughing, playing, and making memories with her family for many years to come. Instead, she is bravely battling cancer, and her family has been told that they may only have a day or two left with their precious little girl.
My heart breaks for Lilly and for everyone who loves her. No parent should ever have to face the unimaginable pain of saying goodbye to their child. There is no way to make this fair. There is no way to make it make sense.
Right now, Lilly needs every prayer, every ounce of love, and every bit of kindness we can surround her with. Please pray that she feels nothing but love and comfort, and pray for her family as they face these heartbreaking days together.
We have been blessed with an incredible outpouring of support, and meals are already covered through Tuesday. But this family’s need for support will not end on Tuesday.
If you are able to provide a meal, order dinner, donate a restaurant or grocery gift card, or help with a future meal, please contact Barbara to get on the meal train. We want to make sure this family does not have to worry about cooking, grocery shopping, or figuring out what to feed everyone while they are spending these precious moments with Lilly.
This is one small way we can carry some of their burden when they need us most.
We cannot change what is happening. We cannot take away their pain. But we can show this family that they are surrounded by people who care. We can feed them. We can pray for them. We can stand beside them.
