🐾 A Negan Update from Paws Be With You 🐾

It’s been a little while since we’ve posted an update here, and this week gave us a very good reason to check in. ❤️

Negan recently underwent dental surgery after his veterinarian at Pet Calls Animal Hospital discovered tooth resorption and gingival hyperplasia. During the procedure, his teeth were thoroughly cleaned, the necessary dental work was performed, and a gingivectomy was done to remove the excess gum tissue.

Of course, anytime our boy has to go under anesthesia, we worry. But Negan handled everything like the tough guy he is. 💪🐾 He is home, recovering, getting lots of love and taking a little time off from his therapy dog duties while he heals.

Negan has spent so much of his life showing up for other people—at hospitals, schools, nursing homes, fire departments and anywhere a little comfort is needed. This week, it was our turn to take care of him. ❤️

Keeping Negan happy and healthy is such an important part of the mission of Paws Be With You, because taking care of the therapy dog makes it possible for the therapy dog to continue taking care of others.

Thank you to everyone who loves him, follows his journey, asks about him and supports what we do. We are so grateful to have you as part of the Paws Be With You family.

Mondays are so meaningful to us. 🐾❤️

Walking through the halls of Delray Medical Center, a trauma center where so much is happening every single day, reminds us just how special these visits truly are.

Behind every door are patients, families, nurses, doctors and staff carrying things we may never see or know about. To be welcomed behind the scenes and given the opportunity to bring a little comfort, joy and a few smiles along the way is something we will never take for granted.

We are so grateful to be part of such an incredible hospital and to spend our Mondays doing what Negan does best — simply showing up and spreading love, one person at a time. 🐾❤️

This is what a week with Paws Be With You looks like. 🐾❤️

Hospital rooms, hallways, nursing homes, behavioral health, first responders and everywhere in between—showing up, making connections, sharing love and bringing smiles to people who may need one that day.

Sometimes it’s a hug. Sometimes it’s a smile. Sometimes it’s simply sitting beside someone and letting them know they’re not alone.

This is why we do what we do. One visit, one person and one smile at a time. ❤️🐾

And after a wonderful week of making people smile… it’s finally time for Negan to clock out. 😴🐶
