Please join us in wishing Sandra Elsner, Veronica Thompson, Lyla Folsom, and Kensi Shaw an incredible journey as they head to American Legion Auxiliary Florida Girls State 2026!
These outstanding young ladies have been selected to participate in one of Florida's premier leadership and civic education programs, held on the beautiful campus of Florida State University in Tallahassee from June 4–12.
During this exciting week, they will step into the world of government and leadership by creating a mythical state, running for office, campaigning for elections, drafting legislation, debating important issues, and participating in mock government sessions. Delegates will be divided into cities, counties, and political parties, gaining firsthand experience in how government works at every level.
One of the highlights of the week is the opportunity to conduct legislative sessions in the actual chambers of the Florida State Capitol, where future leaders learn the value of citizenship, service, teamwork, and leadership.
We are proud of Sandra, Veronica, Lyla, and Kensi for representing our community and wish them an unforgettable week filled with learning, friendship, and inspiration.
