At today’s staff meeting, we started with a mission moment: how do we each help live the mission of keeping Texas beautiful in our everyday lives?⁠

The answers were simple, practical, and powerful:⁠

Thrift gifts before buying new.⁠
Grow vegetables at home.⁠
Bring a bag for stray bottles.⁠
Carry a reusable cup.⁠
Repair devices before replacing them.⁠
Pick up litter when you see it.⁠
⁠
Living the mission doesn’t always mean doing something big. Sometimes, it’s the small choices we make every day that add up to a cleaner, greener, more beautiful Texas.⁠

Help our neighbors in Avoyelles Parish 💙

Several Lafayette organizations have joined together to collect flood relief supplies for residents impacted by the devastating flooding in Avoyelles Parish.

From now through Monday, June 22, community members can drop off donations at any Lafayette Fire Department station between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
