Never Alone Widows-Lafayette Chapter will be a space for
widows of all ages and stages to gather for the purpose of connection, encouragement, empowerment, and seeking God in our journey of widowhood. We believe that our personal transformations are best facilitated when we journey with one another, and that there is power in the words of our testimony. The Lafayette chapter will be meeting at Vin
eyard Church in Lafayette starting with some “meet and greets” this summer and then launching the curriculum in
September called “Widowing Well”. Who: As an arm of Be Still Ministries, Never Alone Widows seeks to provide healing, comfort, and community
to widows through retreats, a national conference, online resources, and local support groups. What: A faith based ministry providing hope and healing to widows; specifically young widows with school aged
children in the home as well as the widows of military personnel and first responders. Over 900 widows have
been served through our retreats and the National Conference. How: We offer three all inclusive weekend retreats, a National Conference, local chapters, and online resources
including a 20 video series digital download (How to Widow Well), a devotional (His Name in Grief), daily
inspiration through our social media sites. Sponsors: Never Alone is supported by a host of Steward Investors who believe with us that Romans 8:28 is still
true in light of our personal tragedy and pain. Because of their generosity, not only are our retreats all inclusive
but we are able to provide the resources needed to specifically support the young widow as well as widows from multiple demographics. The Widows of Heroes Retreat is solely supported by a generous grant from The Gary
Sinise Foundation.
