💙✨ What an incredible event with the one and only Tracy Schmitt! ✨💙

A heartfelt thank you to People First for hosting such an inspiring workshop yesterday and bringing Tracy to our community. To say she is a remarkable speaker would be an understatement. Tracy has a gift for connecting with people in a way that is genuine, powerful, and unforgettable. Her message of resilience, determination, self-advocacy, and living life without limits resonated deeply with everyone in the room.

If you weren't able to attend, don't worry! Tracy will be speaking again at the end of the month in Baton Rouge. If you have the opportunity to hear her speak, take it. And if you can't make it, we highly encourage you to follow her on Facebook and Instagram. Her message is one the world needs more of.

You meet people every day throughout your life. Some leave a small impression, some make you smile, and many faces and names eventually fade with time. Then there are those rare individuals who leave a permanent mark on your heart—people whose words, actions, and spirit challenge you to be better, dream bigger, and see the world differently.

Tracy is one of those people.

She is the kind of person you never forget. The kind of person who reminds you that obstacles do not define us, that our differences can become our greatest strengths, and that every person has something meaningful to contribute to the world.

We left feeling inspired, encouraged, and grateful. Thank you, Tracy, for sharing your story, your wisdom, and your heart with our community. The impact you make on others is immeasurable, and we are better for having met you.

Juneteenth reminds us of the truth our ancestors carried: liberation was delayed, but never undeserved. Our freedom, our joy, our rest, our culture, and our voices matter.

As Black families, Black autistic individuals, and Black caregivers, we honor this day by remembering where we come from and continuing to advocate for a future where our whole selves are seen, supported, and free.

Today, we celebrate freedom.
We honor our ancestors.
We make space for joy, reflection, and community.

Happy Juneteenth from Autism in Black®.
Freedom is our birthright. ✊🏾

Today, we join the nation in recognizing Juneteenth, marking freedom, resilience, and community.

At the Autism Society, we know true acceptance requires equity. We remain fully committed to breaking down the systemic barriers that uniquely impact Black Autistic individuals and their families. Today and every day, we honor the rich history of the Black community and celebrate the brilliant Black Autistic advocates, leaders, and creators who push our movement forward.

Let’s continue building a world where everyone has the freedom to live authentically and belong.

Life gets busy, and sometimes it can be hard to find activities that allow parents and children to slow down and truly connect.

Music creates opportunities for shared laughter, movement, eye contact, interaction, and joyful experiences that strengthen relationships.

Our Parent & Me Music Class is about more than music—it's about creating special moments together while supporting your child's growth and development.

See the flyer for more information and registration details!
