Please join us for a summer picnic at Alberta Park in NE Portland! This will be a potluck picnic so bring your favorite dish or treat to share (:

This invite has been extended to the local student EWB chapter, so we are hoping that our professional chapter members will make a strong showing. As a bonus, anyone who brings a new member, colleague or friend to the picnic will receive EWB-PDX swag!

While there are picnic tables, we would suggest bringing a blanket and/or camp chair if you have one. Courtney will bring the plates, napkins, silverware, & a trash bag. Courtney will also bring a yard game or two for us to play.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

That’s a wrap on the 2025 National Conference in Charlotte, NC! We had two members of the Rwanda team in attendance where they also met with the team’s Rwandan engineer partner, Ir. Emmanuel Hagenimana.

We are excited to share lessons learned and apply them to our projects moving forward!

Had an awesome time volunteering at an Engineers Week event in Portland yesterday with local high school students.

It was so fun talking about the cultural context of engineered infrastructure and playing around with our model sand filter!

Come through to our February social next Tuesday the 11th! We’ll also be having KWB and SteerCo meeting prior to the social at 7, which anyone interested in is welcome to join! We look forward to seeing some new and familiar faces (:

📝✍️Come kick off the new year with us at our Letter Writing Campaign Social in January! The letter writing campaign gives everyone the opportunity to send hand-written letters to our friends, family and other supporters. The letters will update your network about all the great things you are taking part in as a part of EWB, and call them to action to donate to a valuable cause!
Pens, paper and stamps will be provided. Please bring a list of addresses you intend to mail your fundraising letters to (ex. cousins, parents, close friends).
We will also be sharing a digital version for those who can’t make the event to print at home!✍️📝
