Welcome the 26-27 Council board. And a quick reminder, if you have been elected to your local PTA board, please register your role with Texas PTA! 

Congratulations to the 2026-2027 Hays CISD Council of PTAs Board, who will officially hit the ground running this coming July 1st!

This incredible group of leaders from our campuses represent PTAs from every corner of Hays CISD - bringing together ideas, experience, and voices with a shared passion for supporting students, families, staff, and public education.

Together, these leaders represent some of the district’s largest and most engaged PTA communities, including Tobias, the largest elementary PTA in Hays CISD, and McCormick, the district’s largest middle school PTSA.

We are excited to see the collaboration this team will bring to our local PTAs to further impact Hays CISD students and families. 💙

Back for year two and bigger than ever!
McCormick PTSA Free Sports Physicals event returns after an incredible first year where more than 200 physicals were provided in partnership with Ally Medical ER.

This year, they’re expanding access beyond their Tigers to include siblings, family, friends, and community members who need their sports physical completed for the 2026-2027 athletic year.

If your student plans to participate in school sports next year, this is a great chance to check this requirement off the list - completely free.

Parents do not need to be present, but all required forms must be fully signed before students can be seen by the physicians. (Forms can be found here: https://linktr.ee/mccormickptsa.)

While this event is free to attend, donations supporting their campus are always appreciated.

Leadership opportunities are open with the Hays CISD Council of PTAs.

Available positions and role overview:

President - Helps steer the team toward efficiency and collaboration across the district while supporting campus PTAs.

Secretary - Helps keep digital records organized and documents meeting minutes.

Treasurer - Helps maintain financial records and the Council budget.

VP - Outreach - Helps keep a pulse on the needs of local PTAs across the district.

VP - Training - Works with Outreach to provide training and guidance on relevant or needed topics for PTAs.

Interested candidates should submit their nomination to [email protected] no later than Sunday, March 8th.

Help support and strengthen PTA leadership across Hays CISD.

We are grateful for our wonderful staff, campus and district leaders and all of the many people who work hard to ensure all of our children are cared for, loved and have a healthy learning environment!

Celebrating the people who recognize the importance of being engaged with their local campuses and see the value PTAs can add to the lives of our students. With all of our members, Hays CISD is currently (tied for) 3rd in the state in membership growth at 107% of last years’ membership number! Thank you to each of our districts’ 5,499 members. We are feeling grateful for each and every one of you.

If federal funding doesn’t resume by Nov. 1, many families will be at risk of facing even more hardship, including losing access to food assistance through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and losing access to some early childhood education programs supported by Head Start. More than 40 million people receive SNAP benefits with children accounting for nearly 40% of all SNAP participants. Nutrition and learning should not be caught in the cross hairs of the shutdown, and we encourage everyone to join us in reaching out to your members of Congress, urging them to reach an agreement that prioritizes our nation's children, families and schools. pta.org/takeaction
