Meet Shortbread, Biscoff, Millie, and Pepper. ❤️
These four little dogs were found dumped on a neighbor’s property and came to PAWS needing a little extra love and care. All four were severely matted and overdue for some TLC, so we got them the medical attention they needed, fresh haircuts, and clean bills of health!
Now, these sweet pups are feeling so much better and getting the fresh start they deserve. Every dog deserves to feel comfortable, safe, and loved, and we’re so glad we could be there for them.
Your support helps us welcome dogs like Shortbread, Biscoff, Millie, and Pepper with open arms. Please consider donating to help us care for the next animals who need us! They will be available for adoption soon. 💕

Join us in wishing Bonny the happiest of birthdays! She turns 6 years old today! 🥳

Bonny has been with PAWS for 515 days now and we just can’t believe that this sweet girl is still looking for her forever home. She is the most perfect girl! Here is what you need to know about her: 👇

-Potty trained
-Good with other dogs
-Gentle with children
-Couch potato
-LOVES snuggles
-Has the sweetest Zoomies
-Gets SO excited for food (same girl, SAME!) 😉

Bonny is mostly blind but she can see shapes and shadows, helping her to get around. She also uses her front paws as a tool to help her find her way. In fact, most people who meet her in her foster home have no idea she is mostly blind!

Let’s help this birthday girl’s dream come true by finding her a loving home! 🎉❤️

Maddy wasn’t so sure about becoming bedazzled at first… but she changed her mind after she saw her reflection 🥰➡️

Maddy girl has been waiting for her forever family since last summer! Can we find them?

8 year old Maddy has lost over 60 lbs since she arrived at PAWS, and our sweet Senior is feeling GOOD! She loves to show us her goofy, outspoken side as much as she enjoys a good cuddle and chill time.

Maddy is potty trained and good on a leash, and loves people. Her main requirements are that she’ll need to be your only pet, and needs her thyroid medicine daily.

Maddy is ready to meet some very special and make their life complete! 🖤🤎

Many of you have asked if there’s a GoFundMe set up for Tristan, and in honor of his memory - Tristan’s family would like any donations in his name to go to PAWS Shelter, where Tristan worked and was truly so adored.

Thank you for your outpouring of love and support right now. We all feel it and it’s keeping us going. 🩵

🚨 RESCUE NOTICE: Following concern from the public over conditions at Dogtown Ranch Sanctuary Rescue Rehab, Brandywine Valley SPCA (BVSPCA) spearheaded negotiation efforts for the voluntary surrender of all 82 dogs from the Dogtown Ranch property. Austin Pets Alive! (APA!) provided access to temporary housing for the dogs, and supported BVSPCA staff on the ground. Thanks to this swift action, all Dogtown Ranch dogs have a path to a brighter future..

However, the mission isn't over, and we are asking for your help. On Wednesday, 15 additional dogs housed at a separate location were surrendered by Dogtown Ranch to BVSPCA.

We urgently need our community to step up. If you live in Austin, Dripping Springs, Kyle or any of these surrounding areas, we need you. We are looking for at least 10 foster homes to give these resilient dogs a soft landing by this evening. Whether you are an active APA! or PAWS Shelter of Central Texas foster or opening your doors for the first time, please fill out the foster application on the PAWS website —link found in bio and in the comments below — to help save a life.

Additionally, we need 3 experienced, patient fosters for dogs from the initial group who require specialized behavioral support before they can travel.
