Congratulations, Dahlstrom Middle School! 🎉

Every student deserves the support they need to thrive! Thanks to a $4,770 Ambassador Award from the Hays Education Foundation, Dahlstrom Middle School will be able to purchase equipment for a Special Education Sensory and Calming Room. This space will provide sensory enrichment for LS students and support teachers in providing physical and occupational therapy.

When students have what they need, they show up ready to learn.

In a national survey, teachers reported that when student needs are met, students come to class more prepared, participate more, and show more confidence. When teachers' needs are met, teachers can focus on what matters most: meeting students where they are.

Here in Hays CISD, the Hay Education Foundation Teacher Closet helps meet those needs. Teachers book an appointment and shop for free classroom supplies, so the cost does not come out of their own pockets.

The competition may be over, but the impact continues!

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who participated in our Employee Giving Competition! Your school spirit and generosity made this race so much fun.

Congratulations to Fuentes Elementary at 90%, Barton Middle School at 43.16%, and Lehman 14.%! These three campuses had the highest employee participation, and each will receive $1,500.

Whether you raced to the top of the leaderboard, helped your campus gain ground, or encouraged a coworker to join in, YOU are funding teacher grants that bring new projects and resources to students across the district. We are Better Together!
