The Kiwanis Club of Kyle/Buda, Texas, U.S., wrapped up its summer reading program — and the Kiwanis year — with a fun celebration. The club handed out prizes to young readers and awards for volunteering and service in 2024-25.

What a wonderful way to wrap up our 2024-2025 year and Summer Reading Program!

The afternoon was filled with excitement as children collected prizes, families cheered them on, and we celebrated the power of reading together. We are so proud of our community and grateful for everyone who helped make this program a success.

In addition to celebrating our young readers, we also honored outstanding service:

Volunteer of the Year: Luis Medrano

Youth Volunteer of the Year: Dania Chavez

📚 Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with us at Kyle Market Days on Saturday, September 13, 2025, inside the Krug Activity Center at Mary Kyle Hartson Park, 101 S. Burleson St., Kyle, TX 78640.

Exciting news, Kyle! 📚🎉

The Playground Ribbon Cutting at Steeplechase Park is happening tonight at 6:30 PM (295 Hallie Dr, Kyle, TX 78640), and the Kiwanis Club of Kyle-Buda will be there to celebrate with the community!

We’ll be giving away over 200 free children’s books to help encourage a love of reading. Stop by our table under the tent to pick up a book, say hello, and join in the fun!

We love giving back to our community — especially when it means a child might start the school year with a smile! 🚲
Thanks to our partnership with the , you can enter their Back-to-School Bike Raffle for a chance to win a brand-new 18-inch kids bike donated by the Kiwanis Club of Kyle-Buda.

Stop by the library’s circulation desk August 13–20 to enter. The raffle is open to all ages, and you can enter once per person per day.
