All engineers are problem solvers… 📌 On Sunday, Nov. 8, join us on Zoom to learn “Problem Solving Strategies That Get Consultants Paid $5,000/day” from Keith Fong, TX Q ’88. Register here: https://www.tbp.org/static/docs/tbtalk-fong118.pdf.

Why do top tier problem solving consultants get paid $5,000/day or more? It’s easy to think that consultants are more knowledgeable in special tools. In reality, they often know much less about the product and process, but understand different problem solving strategies and apply them more effectively than most engineers.

Keith Fong has 30 years of industrial experience and has developed and deployed internal training on problem solving and continuous improvement. He is currently an Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and advisor to the Texas Q chapter.

Tau Beta Pi initiations are usually held twice a year, in the fall and winter or spring terms of the chapter’s institution.

Engineering graduate students whose scholarship record places them in the top fifth of their class may be elected to membership.

Candidates are then further considered on the basis of the Association’s exemplary character requirement.

Learn more about the initiation requirements and specifics in our info book: https://www.tbp.org/info-book.cfm.

Chapters, for any recent or upcoming initiations, please post on social media, and use our announcement template: https://www.tbp.org/off/initiation-social-template.pdf.

What is your favorite thing about TBP and why? 🎤🌟

Engineers from all over the world joined together last weekend at TBP’s 120th Convention in Tucson, Arizona, showcasing how our community forms lasting relationships and genuine networking opportunities!

Student delegates enjoyed leadership opportunities in Committee Meetings, Engineering Future Leaders sessions, professional development sessions, Chapter Development, and the National Interactive Chapter Exchange (NICE).

Our annual Convention serves as the supreme governing body of TBP, conducting the business of the Association. New chapters were granted, the Executive Council was elected, and the Constitution & Bylaws were amended, when appropriate.
