We are partnering with Metro Drug Coalition’s Community Coalition for ThriveFest, a vibrant family-friendly festival focused on building resilience, fostering connections, and promoting lifelong well-being! This exciting event is packed with interactive activities, games, and hands-on learning experiences designed to empower families with tools to thrive.

ThriveFest is all about fun and education, blending engaging activities with important conversations about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the protective factors that help mitigate their impact. Families will discover practical ways to create Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs), strengthen relationships, and support their children’s mental and emotional well-being—all in a lively, welcoming environment.

Are you a rising high school junior, senior, or college freshman looking to lead, learn, and earn this summer? YO-STEM is launching an exciting new PAID opportunity through YES TO STEM (Youth Engaging Students Through Outreach in STEM)!

💡 What You’ll Do:
Lead fun, hands-on STEM activities for elementary students, build leadership skills, and make a real impact in your community.

📆 Program Dates: June 2 – July 25, 2025
🕒 Schedule: Tues–Thurs, 12 PM – 3 PM (approx. 9 hrs/week)
💸 Yes—it’s paid!

We regret to inform you that the YO-STEM STEM Carnival originally scheduled for Saturday, May 3, 2025, has been cancelled.

While we were looking forward to a fun-filled day of STEM exploration, community engagement, and hands-on activities, unforeseen circumstances have made it necessary for us to cancel this year’s event.

Over the past two weeks, our amazing gSTEM girls dove into the world of photography—the old-school way!

In Week 1, they built and used their very own pinhole cameras to snap creative black-and-white photos. Then in Week 2, they transformed a classroom into a real-life darkroom, learning how to use developing chemicals to bring their images to life!

From chemistry to creativity, these young scientists are capturing more than just photos—they’re making memories.
