πŸ”¨πŸ›οΈ What an incredible day of service!

The Knoxville Breakfast Rotary Club was proud to support the Sleep in Heavenly Peace bed build alongside more than 80 volunteers dedicated to making a difference in our community.

Together, we built 72 beds for local children who otherwise might not have a bed of their own. Every board sanded, every frame assembled, and every volunteer hour contributed brings us one step closer to the mission:

"No child sleeps on the floor in our town."

A special thank you to Phil and Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken for providing an amazing meal for all the volunteers. As always, the food was fantastic and greatly appreciated!

We're grateful to everyone who gave their time, energy, and heart to this project. It was a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to serve others.

And keep an eye on Channel 8β€”you may just spot some familiar Rotary faces! πŸ“ΊπŸ’™

One of the best ways to enhance your Rotary experience is by joining a Rotary Fellowship! These international groups bring together Rotarians who share common interests, hobbies, professions, and passions.

Whether you're interested in travel, cycling, photography, wine appreciation, genealogy, sailing, or countless other pursuits, there's likely a fellowship for you. It's a great opportunity to build friendships across the globe, learn something new, and connect with fellow Rotarians beyond your local club.

Rotary Fellowships remind us that service and fellowship go hand in hand!

We were honored to hear from Rhiannon Potkey of Goods4Greatness, invited by member Sagar Kanhere. πŸ€βš½πŸ’™

Goods4Greatness is dedicated to ensuring every child has the opportunity to play sports, regardless of financial circumstances. For many families, the cost of equipment can stand in the way β€” but sports provide so much more than a game. They build confidence, resilience, teamwork, and belonging.

What started as an idea in a high school classroom more than 20 years ago has grown into a mission focused on giving children the chance to experience the lifelong benefits of sports.

Thank you to Rhiannon for sharing the inspiring story behind Goods4Greatness and the important work being done to support youth in our communities!

Our very own Sandy Harter is currently visiting Jamaica and has shared heartbreaking photos and stories from the devastation left behind by Hurricane Melissa.

Communities are still rebuilding, and many children are learning in military tents while efforts continue to restore their schools. The hope is to have students back in classrooms by next school year.

The North Naples Rotary Club, alongside Rotary clubs throughout Jamaica, is helping provide critical logistical support and donated $20,000 to assist elementary school children with much-needed school supplies.

Rotary’s impact reaches far beyond our local communities β€” neighbors helping neighbors around the world. πŸ’™πŸŒŽ
