Are you a SNAP recipient without dependents? If you are between the ages of 18 and 64, your eligibility may depend on your work status.

➕If you do not have dependents under age 14, you may be considered an "able-bodied adult without dependents" also known as (ABAWD).

‼️Federal guidelines limit the time able-bodied adults without dependents can receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits if work requirements are not met.

Cocke County: Tuesday 6/23 from 10:00 am until all allotted food is distributed
Claiborne County: Wednesday 6/24 from 11:00 am until all allotted food is distributed
Monroe County: Thursday 6/25 from 10:00 am until all allotted food is distributed
Knox County: Friday 6/26 from 10:00 am until all allotted food is distributed

🛑 If someone claiming to be from the government says any of these things, it's a scam:

❌ "Your money isn't safe. Move it to protect it."
❌ "Get cash and I'll send someone to pick it up."
❌ "Put your money in a federal safety locker."
❌ "Give me your Social Security number to qualify for a grant."

Government agencies do not operate this way.

When in doubt:
✔ Hang up
✔ Verify independently
✔ Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or personal information to unsolicited callers
