Created for The Restoration House, this bright, colorful quilt was truly a team effort! Elizabeth Elizabeth selected the block and color palette, our guild members contributed the individual blocks, and Elizabeth brought them all together into the finished quilt top. Deb Harman Debra Jo Hardman recently spent a creative day playing with indigo dye alongside Cindy Stuart and Paulina Marchant Fuentes Paulina Marchant. Together, they transformed all kinds of fabric—from everyday napkins and T-shirts to this massive piece meant for a quilt back!

There’s nothing quite like pulling fabric out of the dye vat and watching those stunning blue shibori patterns appear.

Cindy recently shared two of her quilts with us, and while they have very different looks, both are wonderful examples of thoughtful color and design.

First up is her stunning Americana Quilt, started a few years ago during a class using a classic Kim Diehl pattern. Take a closer look at the quilting—Cindy quilted it block-by-block using her embroidery machine! ❤️🤍💙

Swipe to see a completely different color story with Cindy’s vibrant Purple and Blue Scrap Quilt. Deep purples, teals, and blues create a gorgeous gradient across the half-square triangle design. It’s a fantastic example of color play—and a great way to put scraps to work! 💜💙
