At Life Cycle Development Plus (LCD Plus), emerging leaders are gaining exposure to the HVAC industry while building foundational knowledge and working toward OSHA 10 and NATE credentials.

Through industry exposure, classroom learning, and a clearer understanding of career pathways, participants are beginning to see how practical skills can create possibilities for their future.

Life Cycle Development Plus (LCD Plus) was created to help emerging leaders grow through leadership development, mentorship, and workforce opportunities.

As participants continue their journey, we're already seeing meaningful growth through identity, accountability, leadership habits, mentorship, and workforce preparation. Every conversation, challenge, and opportunity is helping prepare them for what's next.

This journey is made possible through the partnership of The EDGE Foundation, SLB Leadership & Development, and Prime 58, with each organization contributing its unique expertise to help develop the whole person.

This is only the beginning.

Looking Back at Where We Started 💙

After sharing what EDGE stands for, we wanted to look back at one of the first moments where that mission came to life.

These photos take us back to our first KBWCF in 2022, and they remind us of the people who helped carry the mission from the very beginning.

Looking at them now means so much more than remembering an event. We see the beginning of a mission, the heart of a community, and the people who believed in what this could become from day one.

Some of the same people who stood with us then are still standing with us today, and we are truly grateful.

What started in 2022 is still the heart of what we do now: showing up for youth, building community, creating opportunities, and helping every youth believe:

Finding the EDGE in our youth starts with believing in what they can become. 💙

Education. Development. Guidance. Empowerment.

These are more than words. They are the pillars that help youth grow in confidence, build hard and soft skills, receive direction, and recognize their ability to lead and strengthen their community.

Every youth has potential.
Our work is to help create the spaces, support, and opportunities that bring it forward.

This is the EDGE we believe in.

I KNOW I CAN is built one moment at a time.

Youth development does not happen through one event, one conversation, or one act of support. It is built through consistent moments that help youth feel encouraged, connected, supported, guided, and valued.

Over the past few posts, we have reflected on the role of encouragement, connection, community, presence, and mentorship in helping youth believe in what is possible.

Each one matters.

Together, they create environments where youth can build confidence, develop trust, experience belonging, and begin to see a future worth pursuing.

At The EDGE Foundation, this is the heart of the work.

Opportunity helps youth see what is possible. 💙

When youth are given access to positive experiences, leadership moments, mentorship, and new environments, they begin to imagine a future beyond what they may have seen before.

Opportunity matters because it gives youth a chance to try, grow, lead, and discover what they are capable of.

Through KBWCF and the work beyond it, The EDGE Foundation continues to create spaces where youth can be exposed to possibility, surrounded by support, and encouraged to take the next step forward.
