One of the greatest lessons from KBWCF Year 5 is that meaningful impact doesn't happen alone. It happens when people choose to show up, invest in others, and work together toward a common purpose.

What started as a kickball event has become something much bigger.

Organizations connect.
Relationships are built.
Youth find opportunities.
Communities grow stronger.

At the heart of KBWCF is a simple belief: our youth are capable of greatness. 💙

That's why "I KNOW I CAN" means so much to us.

It's the theme we chose for Year 5 of KBWCF and a reminder that we want our youth and community to believe they can overcome adversity, pursue their goals, and continue moving forward no matter what challenges they face.

Life doesn't always go according to plan. Challenges come. Obstacles show up. Sometimes the path we expected looks very different from the one we're on.

It's a reminder to keep believing.
To keep growing.
To keep moving forward through adversity.

In this message, our founder, Curt Maggitt, shares the heart behind "I KNOW I CAN" and the belief that continues to inspire our work with youth and community.

No matter what you're facing today, remember:

KBWCF Year 5 brought together youth, families, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners from across Knoxville for a day centered around connection, confidence, movement, mentorship, and joy.

Because of this community:

🔹 214 attendees were part of KBWCF ’26
🔹 61% of attendees were youth under 18
🔹 300+ volunteer hours were poured into our youth
🔹 10+ ZIP codes were represented across Knoxville and surrounding areas

This recap reflects what happens when people come together with purpose, energy, and belief.
