One week down of JCC Summer Camp! 🌞🎳💦🥋🖍️

Campers learned Taekwondo with Peter Canavan, cooled off in the pool, planted in our garden beds, created and decorated their own mushrooms, tackled the slip-and-slide, made slime, enjoyed a field trip to Chacko's Family Bowling Center, took on a no-hands cupcake challenge, helped create an America 250 banner with Gerri Kaplan, and most importantly, made new friends along the way.

The smiles, laughter, and memories made during just one week have been incredible and Week 2 is already off to a fantastic start!

Here's to a summer full of adventure, friendship, and fun at the Friedman JCC! 🌞

Join local historian Tony Brooks for a fascinating five-part lecture series exploring the people, places, architecture, and defining events that made the Wyoming Valley what it is today—from Revolutionary War veterans and influential local women to the lasting impact of the Agnes Flood of 1972.

Here at Sara’s Table at the Kraus-Chaiken Food Pantry, every distribution day is a reminder that access to nutritious food matters. It's neighbors showing up for neighbors, volunteers lending a hand, and a community coming together to make sure no one has to face food insecurity alone.

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers who make this work possible and to our partners at the Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank/CEO for their continued support. Together, we're helping nourish our community and making a difference one distribution at a time.
